Most Charleston books have nothing but sex I them. But this one had a really great story to get list as well
This was a really good book in the series. Showing how Dresden is maturing and thinking before he acts. James Marsters narration is so wonderful.
It ranks very high as one of my favorites
When one of the people got sent out to "clean" and I realized why they were so willing do it after saying they wouldn't.
She does the characters very well. You can easily determine what character is speaking by listening to her.
I did find time to listen to it more than usual.
This was originally written as a short story but then evolved into a whole book. I am looking forward to the rest of the story.
This was a truly engrossing listen. The characters are very well done and the narrator brings them to life. I was able to separate most of the characters easily by Raul Esparza's narration. The story is about a town that suddenly gets trapped by a clear dome which no one knows how. There are characters who take advantage of it and characters who are victimized by being trapped there. Suspenseful, edge of your seat type of read.
Yes, because there were so many references to sci fi books that I would like to check them out personally.
This is truly a one of a kind type of book.
She brings the story to life with her accent. She makes it seem so real.
Yes and I did it in only a couple of sittings
This is a story of a 15 year old girl Welsh girl who loves sci-fi books and finds solace in them. It takes place in 1979-80 and is written as a diary. It is sort of a sci-fi book, sort of a paranormal book. It is very hard to actually classify this. The story is very engrossing and never boring. The characters are very well fleshed out. The narrator is absolutely perfect for this book. The sci-fi references are fun if you like older sci-fi especially. She is not a childish girl but a young woman made to grow up quickly because of circumstances in her life. I am certainly going to read more of this authors books.
I enjoyed Christopher Moore's light take on the vampire story. The performance was wonderful and very easy to discern the different characters.
This was an excellent book. You can tell it was very thoroughly researched. But it was not dry at all. The story kept building and made me want to keep listening to it. The narrator was excellent and did the voices very well so that I knew right away who was speaking. The story switches back and forth in time but it just enhanced the book. It was made very clear when they switched time.
The narration was so perfectly matched to this character that you feel like you are watching a TV show. I listened to this a long time after reading the book and it was as great as I remembered it. I can't imagine anyone else doing the narration for this series of books.
Harry Dresden of course. He tries to be good and stay out of trouble but he cares too much about people to do this.
It just seems like he is Harry Dresden. It was a perfect match.
I wanted to but my time constraints would not let me.
