When she witnesses a small child tumbling from a ferry into Lake Champlain, Troy Chance dives in without thinking. Harrowing moments later, she bobs to the surface, pulling a terrified little boy with her. As the ferry disappears into the distance, she begins a bone-chilling swim nearly a mile to shore towing a tiny passenger. Surprisingly, he speaks only French. He'll acknowledge that his name is Paul; otherwise, he's resolutely mute.

Where does Learning to Swim rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is one of the top three books I have listened to.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The story line was very captivating and it had many paths that kept your interest but they never provided clues that would lead you to the surprising ending.

What about Suzanne Toren’s performance did you like?

I hope to hear more of her performances, she was excellent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If I had enough free time I would have sat down, next to the fireplace and listened to the very end.

    Any additional comments?

The initial event requires one to suspend reality as it was difficult to believe it could have been pulled off. But with that said, I suppose any other scenario would have resulted in the same comment. However, it didn't take anything away from the story and mystery.

There have been many Marines. There have been many marksmen. But there has been only one Sergeant Carlos Hathcock, a legend of Marine lore. He stalked the Viet Cong behind enemy lines. His record has never been matched: 93 confirmed kills. This is his story. Powerful, chilling, and all true.

Army Special Agent John Puller is the best there is. A combat veteran, Puller is the man the U.S. Army relies on to investigate the toughest crimes facing the nation. Now he has a new case - but this time, the crime is personal: His aunt has been found dead in Paradise, Florida.

What did you like best about The Forgotten? What did you like least?

I thought the story was too far fetched and the story probably couldn't have worked without suspending one's belief that it could happen.

Would you be willing to try another book from David Baldacci? Why or why not?

This is my second one of Baldacci and I doubt that I would try another

Did Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

The narration was done well with the material they had to work with.

Could you see The Forgotten being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    No way.

In this truly inspirational audio book, Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body began shutting down - overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience (NDE) where she realized her inherent worth... and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was released from the hospital within weeks - without a trace of cancer in her body!

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The story is too unbelievable to be true

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I thought it was a made to order ending to sell a book.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Anita Moorjani?

    No

Was Dying to Be Me worth the listening time?

    No

    Any additional comments?

Perhaps if it was half as long it might be more appealing.

Catherine has been enjoying the single life for long enough to know a good catch when she sees one. Gorgeous, charismatic, spontaneous – Lee seems almost too perfect to be true. And her friends clearly agree, as each in turn falls under his spell. But there is a darker side to Lee. His erratic, controlling and sometimes frightening behaviour means that Catherine is increasingly isolated. Driven into the darkest corner of her world, and trusting no one, she plans a meticulous escape.

Where does Into the Darkest Corner rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the best I've listened to on a very difficult topic.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Cathy was so weak but yet so, so tough

What does David Thorpe and Karen Cass bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They brought the characters to life and kept the plot thick.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It scared me to death and made me realize how easy it would be to shift blame to a victim.
