"suspense?"
This book should be listed under romance novels. Not much suspense or mystery.
"just OK"
narrator is poor - author is too wordy and repetitive besides - the book editor should have caught that -
"OK"
As a woman and as a Mom I have a difficult time reading stories where children are bullied or put in jeopardy. Besides the parents are written as bullies also. So I only listened to half the book. It was not suspenseful.
"OK"
Rather interesting at times. But rather stupid at more times. There is an edge to Carter Ross sometimes but it never develops and does not last.
"Good but...."
I like Mary Higgins Clark - sometimes! But "Where Are The Children" is still the best of her books!!
"Intriguing and sad"
Intriguing. Good characters. Sad ending and sad but true that our justice system can be so very much about power and not so much about justice.
"Too many words"
Good story but way too many words. I understand the character development of Dooher and it was well done. But I do not want to believe people can be that gullible.
"Interesting"
The story line is interesting but once you know "whodunit" it becomes slow. But the thought of "being a fly on the wall" when others are talking about you is intriguing.
"Too long"
It just goes on and on. The bad guy is written too smart and the good guys can not be that dumb. I've heard Dick Hill before and he is good. But this time he is not. Drops off words and end of sentences and is mostly annoying. Maybe abridged version would be OK.
