    What did you love best about The Murder of the Century?

    Being a history buff I was fascinated to listen to a story about how life was back at the end of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th. I really enjoyed learning about how police work, and court proceedings how they differ (and for that matter how they led to today's forensic evidence handling) today.


    What was one of the most memorable moments of The Murder of the Century?

    The description of the execution proceeding and it's aftermath.


    Which scene was your favorite?

    The description of the trial proceeding and how well it was arranged and conducted.


    Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    No, but it was fascinating.

    Amazing, True, Factual


    What did you like best about this story?

    I liked the way the book brings this true story to life. The book tells a true story in such a way that you wonder if it is really a detective novel, which it is not. Everything in the book is true. The book really draws you in to the "hunt" and to the lives of the participants.


    What about Paul Hecht’s performance did you like?

    He does a great job of telling the story giving life to all of the characters


    Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    If I had the time. I did not want to put it down

    Tragic, Amazing, Senseless


    What did you like best about this story?

    I thought that the author's telling of the story was very true to life and really brought the story to life when I listened to it. Truman Capote when to extraordinary detail in telling the story which really brought it home for me.


    Which scene was your favorite?

    I cannot settle on one scene, but I would say that the trial segment was among the most interesting


    What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

    Again, I could not settle on one tidbit,. but I did enjoy the epilogue which told what happened to he survivors after the trial and executions

    Would you listen to Kill Alex Cross again? Why?

    Maybe, I am actually not yet finished with the entire book yet but am really enjoying it and find it both fascinating and wonderfully acted as well. I may actually want to listen again, at some point.

    Alex Cross. He is presented wonderfully and is well portrayed by Andre Braugher


    Have you listened to any of Andre Braugher and Zach Grenier ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No, but if there are others I would definitely be interested in hearing about them


    Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    No laughing or crying, but the story itself does generate a reaction, given its topical nature and how it relates with how we, as Americans are thought of by some other cultures.

    I was most moved by the end of the book when Anthony recapped how all of the people he had mentioned in Kitchen Confidential were doing today, some doing well, some having disappeared or doing
