I enjoyed them both. Listening to Al narrate the story in a voice with the same cadence as his father was like listening to Phil a few years younger.
Not one I can think of at this time. This being one man's life story it may have contained similar experiences another may have had, but it was purely his own.
Listening to the voice of Al made me feel I was listening to a younger Phil.
It was and I did. I downloaded it to my droid and clipped it to my shirt and cleaned my entire house as I listened.
I have come to admire this entire family for it values. God, Family and Country. Something sorely missing in today's world - old fashioned (if you want to call them that) maybe, but when we had them life was better.
This story made me feel like I did when I read my first few King books. I did not want to put it down.
I knew as I started reading who it was and loved that he was being brought back to finish his story started so long ago. I have been wanting that to happen for a long time. With a master storyteller like King I had a clear picture of how his life was for the last 20 odd years in the blink of a few pages and thoroughly enjoyed watching him finally see his full potential and true self shine through.
Wonderful job! I knew which character was speaking without a thought. His voice led my imagination from scene to scene in vivid color seeing each person in my minds eye as if they were standing in front of me.
!!A GREAT READ FROM BEGINNING TO END!!
