From the voice of a generation: the most highly anticipated autobiography of the year, and the story of a man who wanted The Who to be called The Hair; wanted to be a sculptor, a journalist, a dancer and a graphic designer; became a musician, composer, librettist, fiction writer, literary editor, sailor; drank too much and nearly died; detached from his body in an airplane, on LSD, and nearly died; planned to write his memoir when he was 21; and published this book at 67.

What made the experience of listening to Who I Am the most enjoyable?

This is right up there with Keith Richards' bio. If Mr. Townshend ever wants to stop rocking & rolling, he could very easily lend his voice to other audio books. I would never count The Who as my fav band, or PT as my fav guitar slinger, but this was one well written story, full of insights & life. Enjoyed it immensley. Thank you for writing such a great book.

When 16-year-old Xander's older brother, Moto, left him at Vandenberg Airforce Base he only had one request - don't leave, no matter what. But there was no way he could have known that zombies would gather in groups big enough to knock down walls, and take out entire buildings full of people. That was before the rise of the horde! Now Xander is on the run, fleeing south to Port Hueneme to locate his brother, with nothing but his martial arts training and the katana blade left to him.

Impatiently awaiting book 2. Well written, good narration and a true non-stop pace. This has the makings of a good series, right up there with Mark Tufo's. If you like his series, you'll def. like this one.

If you think the wildest, wackiest stories that Carl Hiaasen can tell have all made it into his hilarious, best-selling novels, think again. Dance of the Reptiles collects the best of Hiaasen's Miami Herald columns, which lay bare the stories - large and small - that demonstrate anew that truth is far stranger than fiction. Hiaasen offers his commentary - indignant, disbelieving, sometimes righteously angry, and frequently hilarious - on burning issues like animal welfare, polluted rivers, and the broken criminal justice system as well as the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, Bernie Madoff's trial, and the shenanigans of the recent presidential elections.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

If your politics lean far to the left, you might like this one. Although the narrator was probably drunk when he recorded it, so just read the book.

What was most disappointing about Carl Hiaasen and Diane Stevenson (editor) ’s story?

I enjoyed about 10% of this book, but after the multiple chapters attacking the 2nd Amendment, I turned it off and deleted from my mp3 player.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Arte Johnson?

Just about anybody could've done a better job.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The non-political portions of this book were great. Too bad 90% of the book is far left politics.

    Any additional comments?

In the past, I've really enjoyed Mr. Hiaasen's fictional work. However, I'll never purchase, read or listen to anything else he writes from here on. But that's just me. If you are a-political or liberal, you'll prob like this.

Serge is back with a bullet, torn between homicide and souvenirs. So is Coleman, torn between getting hammered and getting more hammered. Then there's good ol' Jim Davenport, the E-Team, the Diaz Brothers, and Johnny Vegas, the Accidental Virgin, cranking up the fevered action as the pot boils over on a street called Lobster Lane.

What did you love best about Atomic Lobster?

I've read or listened to most of the Serge Storms books, and they're all really good. While Torpedo Juice is probably the best of the lot (almost causing a massive accident due to uncontrollable laughter), every one of these books is a laugh riot and massively entertaining. In fact, I'm surprised there isn't a warning to not listen while behind the wheel. You just might crash. It's hard to control a vehicle when tears are streaming down your face from laughter.

What other book might you compare Atomic Lobster to and why?

Carl Hiaasen, Dave Barry and Tim Dorsey are all cut from the same cloth. And that's not a bad thing

What does Oliver Wyman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I believe there are 2 different narrators for the series, and its hard to say that one is better than the other.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I've enjoyed every book in this series. Highly entertaining, witty, sarcastic, fast paced. My only problem is there is no book eight. Yet. Get off your a**, Mark. We're ready.

What other book might you compare Zombie Fallout 7: For The Fallen to and why?

If you enjoyed J.L. Bourne's zombie series, you'll love this one as well. If not, you'll still enjoy this series. I definitely appreciate the technical accuracy concerning gear, weapons & tactics.

No need for a long, glowing review here, its another great book by DK. Can you really go wrong with his work? Nope. And he's a major dog lover, so its a win-win every time

Wondering if science could explain how he survived his 40-year avalanche of drugs and alcohol, Ozzy Osbourne became one of a handful of people in the world to have his entire DNA mapped in 2010. It was a highly complex, $65,000 process, but the results were conclusive: Ozzy is a genetic anomaly. The "Full Ozzy Genome" contained variants that scientists had never before encountered and the findings were presented at the prestigious TEDMED Conference in San Diego - making headlines around the world.

Rod Stewart was born the working class son of a Scottish plumber in north London. Despite some early close shaves with a number of diverse career paths ranging from gravedigging to professional soccer, it was music that truly captured his heart - and he never looked back. Rod’s is an incredible life, and here - thrillingly and for the first time - he tells the entire thing, leaving no knickers under the bed. A rollicking rock ’n’ roll adventure that is at times deeply moving, this is the remarkable journey of a guy with one hell of a voice - and one hell of a head of hair.

Ninotchka says: "If you think he's sexy - or not - give it a go!"

What other book might you compare Rod to and why?

Right up there with Keith Richards bio, Life. High praise for sure.

    Any additional comments?

CAUTION: Do not listen too while driving. I almost ran off the road from laughing too hard. Very enjoyable and enlightening rock n roll bio. Rod is a much better story teller than I ever imagined. Although I really enjoy Simon Vance as a narrator, I didn't think he'd be able to pull this particular read off, but that's not the case at all. And I'm admittedly not the biggest RS fan, so for those two reasons, I gave this book a pass a couple times before finally downloading it. This book was thoroughly enjoyable. Get it, you WILL NOT regret it.

America faces a full-scale socioeconomic collapse in the near future. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation cripples commerce and the mounting crisis passes the tipping point. Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city.

Would you listen to Patriots again? Why?

Really enjoying the story so far. Definately worth listening to, especially if you have an interest in preparing for any 'worse case scenario'. Most definately believable. Not too thrilled with the narration though. Somewhat dry & toneless, but don't let that discourage a listen.
