Just loved it
The love the man has for those who mean something to him
Made me laugh
Unfortunately Roy's performance on this volume is poor mainly due to changing the voices for characters. This may not sound like much but it ruins the continuity of the story and changes the personality of the characters completely.
I think some of the blame should lay with the producer who should of coached Roy with the previous volumes characterisations.
The story of Richie up until 2005 is a great one but this book needs to be re-narrated. To have a person who is not Australian was a terrible decision for one reason; the narrator could not pronounce Australian place names correctly.
It is also obvious that the narrator is not a true fan of cricket because there were a few cricketers names mis-pronounced.
It absolutely ruined the experience for me.
I found this audo book hard to follow with the constant change in narrator. I preffered Chris Hitchens book on the same subject.
Absolutley because it is an amazing story about an amazing human being.
Just the strength and bravery that Nancy displayed.
The content was worth listening to.
Here is the disappointment; I don't know whether the audio production was to blame or the narrator. The differences in clarity were just disappointing. He seemed to go from clear narration to mumbling, from loud to soft.
I doubt it
Peter Byrne is a fantastic narrator.
I purchased it because I of the book, Vietnam, The Australian War. It was narrated by Perter Byrne and I enjoyed it.
A great insite to a great regiment of blokes.
Absolutley because it is a truthful, telling account of the Australian side of the story and not that of America.
Many, too many to mention.
This book made me sad, and ashamed at times. Sad for the pain and loss of war. Ashamed because of the way our political leaders failed our service men and woman. Ashamed of the protestors and those who abused our diggers calling them baby murderers and rapists, but most of all it made me PROUD of our soldiers, sailors and airmen.
Stephen was at his very best so for the entertainment value, yes I would
I don't think you can
His ability to make the some what soso sound bloody exciting.
I enjoyed the book more because of the way Stephen read it rather than the subject itself.
To this point, this is the best audio book I have bought.
Just the way Stephen uses the English language.
