Susan Ericksen is so talented, and JD Robb is magic! Between the two of them, I loved all of it, and especially enjoyed Peabody's story, her strengths and her humor. Of course Eve and Rouke, but Peabody was a stand out in this one!
somewhat of a SPOILER but Peabody's interview of the
You know who is who with out of the writer telling you so, Susan give each person their own personality!
Peabody chat with Eve about her trip to Dallas and how she handled it.
I enjoy this series so much!! I hope that Nora, umm, I mean JD Robb doesn't stop writing them, and that Susan will always be the Narrator, can't imagine ANYONE else doing them!
It was Outlander, the first book, now it might be this one! It exceeding all my expectations and I was so sad to be finished!!
Its easy to say Claire and Jamie and they were, but Jermaine is my stand out character in this book.
You know every character is with out having the author say the name, she brings each one their own life, and displays the emotion with out it seeming over done.
I don't want to add spoilers to this, so I will say the passing of two beloved characters... Diana, you and George are not longer allowed to play with each other!
I can't say enough of how much this book!! All of the books in this series were fantastic, but some did seem to drag in spots... I felt like a 1/4 of Echo was William in the great dismal for example, but this was wonderful. It flowed, it moved, and it made you angry that it wasn't getting there fast enough, but it was the way it should be. It amazes me what a wonderful writer Diana Gabaldon is and I will be her personal slave if that means we can get book 9 sooner!
Two words Phil Gigante!
Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy meets Lord of the Rings, writing with a Monty Python flare.
This writer is wonderful and so funny!! Having Phil read it was magic, and I couldn't imagine it any other way. He read it with such seriousness and I can't think how someone else could pull it off. Just don't read it in public or while running. The first will get you really weird looks, the latter will make it hard to breath through all the giggling! What a great fun book! I would recomend to any age, any gender. My 15 year old son loved it too!
I enjoy audiobooks. I enjoy the freedom of being able to work out or do chores while getting in a good read. I enjoy the acting involved with a good narrator. This one actually takes away from the story.
Only if it is the only way to get the audio version of a story, but mostly, I would rather read it myself. I do not need to make it extra breathy to help the author tell a story.
Please Ms McGee take some acting lessons, or listen to other narrators. Susan Ericksen is a huge reason why listen to the JD Robb series.
