I really enjoyed this installment of the series. Its far better than the first, which I liked well enough to buy the second, but this one has much more in depth character development. We get to know Kitty much more, but hear less from Bartimaeus this time around. If you enjoyed the first book, it only gets better. Just bought the third.

Loved the book, sat in the driveway listening to it because I could not get away! Done many many books on tape and this is by far one of the best narrators. I am trying with difficulty to find something to replace this and "The Girl w the Dragon Tattoo", with great difficulty. Could not praise the book and the narrator more.

I really liked this audio book. Its something I never would have picked up to read but I bought it primarily because I thought my boyfriend would enjoy it on a long car ride. I ended up getting into it. Its tough to get into but I enjoyed it enough to buy the sequel as well. Its a action packed story, I listened to it at the gym and it definatly kept me engaged and alert. The characters are a lot of fun, very complex. I would recommend it, but be sure to sample it first. My boyfriend turned it off because he hated the narrator's style. It didn't bother me but I could see his point. Enjoy!
