Maddie James and her colleagues are terrorism experts working in a crumbling intelligence agency. They are certain another terrorist attack is coming, but in a post-9/11 election year the Administration is stressing its victories in the War on Terror - and few want to hear the team's warnings. Reluctantly, Maddie's given a team of five analysts to focus on the impending threat. The crew labors through bureaucratic obstacles, personal problems, and a blossoming romance between its senior members. They come heartbreakingly close to stopping the attack....

What made the experience of listening to Intelligence: A Novel of the CIA the most enjoyable?

I know we are all tired of 9/11 terrorist plots but this was a fresh take. It is written by a woman who actually worked for the cia and actually was ticked off at the way the government handled it. You could feel her bitterness is the forward, she told a good story and I really enjoyed. it.

Among the most self-assured and sharply crafted debuts in recent years, Calumet City detonates a Molotov cocktail of character-driven suspense and ghetto-Chicago intrigue. A powerful fiction debut that captures the precise emotional landscape of one cop's hard-bitten life in the trenches. This first-time author joins that rare breed whose fiction is suffused with profound authenticity.

Will Robie may have just made the first - and last - mistake of his career.... It begins with a hit gone wrong. Robie is dispatched to eliminate a target unusually close to home in Washington, D.C. But something about this mission doesn't seem right to Robie, and he does the unthinkable: He refuses to kill. Now, Robie becomes a target himself and must escape from his own people.

Fleeing the scene, Robie crosses paths with a wayward teenage girl, a 14-year-old runaway from a foster home. But she isn't an ordinary runaway....

Would you consider the audio edition of The Innocent to be better than the print version?

I was on a 2 day bus ride to Washington Dc and was very happy with everything with this performance. I found some of the sound effects of bullets a little disctracting but it was ok. I love Baldacci and I almost liked listening better than reading.

What about Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance did you like?

I love Ron McLarty as a narrator and we all know the narrator is half the battle in an audible book.
