If you could sum up The Girl Who Disappeared Twice in three words, what would they be?

    A page turner

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. I so wanted to console the mothers and the kids

    Which scene was your favorite?

When finally the girls were found and love was shown to the first brainwashed victim instead of vengeance .

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

I don't know what the tag line would be

    Any additional comments?

I was so afraid that the kidnappers were going to physically hurt the girls. I never dreamed that brainwashing the first victim would cause the second kidnapping

Whatever happened to Calico Joe? It began quietly enough with a pulled hamstring. The first baseman for the Cubs AAA affiliate in Wichita went down as he rounded third and headed for home. The next day, Jim Hickman, the first baseman for the Cubs, injured his back. The team suddenly needed someone to play first, so they reached down to their AA club in Midland, Texas, and called up a 21-year-old named Joe Castle. He was the hottest player in AA and creating a buzz....

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not really unless they were into details of baseball.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Focus on the characters instead of all the baseball stats

What does Erik Singer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Maybe the emotional and physical damage a toxic person does to all he comes intact with.

Do you think Calico Joe needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No. I know the state of calico joe and the villain died(thank goodness--I wanted him to die)

    Any additional comments?

I was emotionally affected when Calico joe had such a forgiving attitude--although it was great to hear, I don't think it was realistic.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I had to know what was going to happen next. It was hard to quit listening, like I might miss something.

What about P. J. Ochlan’s performance did you like?

I liked how he changed his voice for each character. He was very easy to listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I felt the frustration the characters felt. I strongly disliked the characters who were only interested in the political aspect of the situations with people's lives mostly because I know that is real life.

    Any additional comments?

I was happy with the ending
