Very well written and performed. Gritty. I felt like I was actually there and that the time travel was really possible. After reviewing the further books in the series though, I think I will stop at this one. Not much into wartime stories.

Then Lord Tregarthan might notice her, as she had noticed him and forever lost her heart to the most eligible bachelor of the town. New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon enchanted scores of fans with Outlander, her electrifying historical saga set in 18th-century Scotland. Now this sequel sweeps listeners back into the past as Claire relates more of her perilous sojourn there with her Scottish warrior husband, James Fraser. Twenty years after her strange journey back in time, Claire has returned to Scotland with her daughter, determined to share with her the secret she has harbored since her time travel.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

So far, this series is unforgettable and hard to stop listening to. I've owned the 4th book in the series for some time, but I've never read it...wanting to do the series justice. Now I'm glad I waited. I don't think reading it would be as wonderful an experience as listening to Davina Porter's WONDERFUL narration!! She is my favorite.

If you could sum up Odd Thomas in three words, what would they be?

Overall, enjoyable. Understand they are making a movie out of it....not sure how they will cram all that "mind-talk" into it. I don't think I would understand the movie without reading the book first (like Hunger Ganes). Did NOT see the surprise ending coming.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I did not like the narration at all. In fact, I speeded it up, as she seemed to be in "sleep-talk". The stories are harmless fun, i enjoy the history of them. But, Poor Relations series is soooo much better. Not sure I will go further with this series. First two books were good tho.

Where does Maybe This Time rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top percentage. For its quick moving storyline and surprises.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The lead character Andie. She's tough, smart and jut a little less cynical than she thinks.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voice of the Auntie with its tinkly laughter and sinister whisper. You just had to love her eventually. Trying NOT to spoil!!

    Any additional comments?

Really cute story with a feel good ending. Narrator is fabulous.

A scientific experiment begins, and as the button is pressed, the unexpected occurs: everyone in the world goes to sleep for a few moments while everyone's consciousness is catapulted more than twenty years into the future. At the end of those moments, when the world reawakens, all human life is transformed by foreknowledge.

What did you like best about Flashforward? What did you like least?

I liked the beginning...didn't really care for the end. It started out interesting, then it felt as though he didn't know where to go with what he had created.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Sadly, the most memorable scene to me was the schoolyard....NO Spoiler...

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

With a GOOD screenwriter taking the reins, perhaps.

Where does Royal Blood rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The entire series is my favorite so far...particularly for Katherine Kellgren's narration. She's SMASHING...I know a Lady shouldn't use such words...but....

    Predictable for the most part.
