i've had more satisfying night terrors. if that's your thing then this book is for you.
Love the original series but seriously... ten dollars for a 45 minute book? Where was the happy ending?
Ye gods the narration!
Sometimes it's awesome when the author narrates their books... and sometimes there's a reason they're writers and not voice talent.
This book was so bad I was ready to give up on it... until the floating legless messianic evil supra-genius piped in "rock and roll" which turned out to be Nickelback.
Just went from a confusing mess of fiction where everyone seems to carry knockout gas to a train wreck I couldn't look away from.
It was a sore struggle to reach the end of the book… but like Jack, I used the powers of the angel of Death which lies (somehow) nestled inside me to endure the characters comprised solely of good or entirely of evil and a meandering narrative that reads more like a 12 year olds diary than a piece of fiction.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s probably a demographic for this book and if you’re between the ages of 11 and 16 you can safely ignore the review… for anyone else, think twice.
lots of talk of mainframes which is a testament to the powerful 1970s technology. not a bad mystery. not a genre i love.
interesting if a bit dated... telefaxes in the future ... well narrated... more words
was on the long side... a lot left unexplained... if you die before you read it you may take the jump into the unknown without regret.
It's not much of a book... and not much happens in the book. it's a bit of a teaser which leads you to the next in the series. a bit of a scam.
