Secret agent Augustus Whittlesby has spent a decade undercover in France, posing as an insufferably bad poet. The French surveillance officers can't bear to read his work closely enough to recognize the information drowned in a sea of verbiage. In the ninth installment of Lauren Willig's best-selling Pink Carnation series, the atrocious poet teams up with an American widow to prevent Napoleon's invasion of England.

    J-9 says: "Disappointed. :("
"Another great spy story of the Napoleonic era"

Would you consider the audio edition of The Garden Intrigue to be better than the print version?

Kate Reading if a fabulous reader, not only in her overall production/delivery of the story but actually pronouncing all the french names correctly

In July 1890, Vincent van Gogh went into a cornfield and shot himself. Or did he? Why would an artist at the height of his creative powers attempt to take his life... and then walk a mile to a doctor's house for help? Who was the crooked little "color man" Vincent had claimed was stalking him across France? And why had the painter recently become deathly afraid of a certain shade of blue? These are just a few of the questions confronting Vincent's friends who vow to discover the truth of van Gogh's untimely death.

John says: "Not Moore at his funniest, but Moore completely"
    "Absolutely hysterical and totally entertaining"

What made the experience of listening to Sacre Bleu the most enjoyable?

the reader is great and the story really entertaining - draws on historical characters and comes up with a pretty ludicrous but funny story

    "good story but over rated"
    Overall

I was influenced to listen to this book due to it's raving reviews and high stars. It was an entertaining story but it was not stellar.

It wasn't particuarly the best thriller I've read and the writting style was a bit clumsy.
the reader was excellent and brought what would have been a drab read to life.
