    Until every character in the first hour had pretty much topped every other character or at least tried to. I get that people sometimes like sex just for the sake of it but I was really looking forward to the story. It got lost in the repeated scenes of hot debauchery and "dark love". If you want turn of the century porn, here tis!

    It reminded me of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen but better. It was very unique and a perfect mix of science, romance, and the supernatural. Very good buy! Can't wait for the next part.

    I usually like Laurell Hamilton but this book could not have been longer and more repetitive. Each chapter is like the one before reworded and just as verbose and boring. I would not recommend it.

    This story has wonderful potential however the narrator is really, really bad. She over enunciates, speaks too slowly at some points and just distracts from the story in general. You can hardly tell the characters apart in some cases.
