The latest release in the Christian Epic series is an exciting novel that takes place shortly after Christ's death and resurrection. Basil is called to design the case which will hold the silver cup that Christ and His disciples drank from at the Last Supper, and plans to sculpt their likenesses upon it. As he seeks out these followers of Christ, he encounters grave danger.

At the age of 22, Jennifer Worth left her comfortable home to move into a convent and become a midwife in postwar London’s East End slums. The colorful characters she met while delivering babies all over London - from the plucky, warm-hearted nuns with whom she lived to the woman with 24 children who couldn't speak English to the prostitutes and dockers of the city’s seedier side - illuminate a fascinating time in history.

If you could sum up Call the Midwife in three words, what would they be?

Historical, and personable the narrative is wonderfully informative in an entertaining way. Not a story as much as a collection of remembrances.

What did you like best about this story?

The description of life in England in the 1950's with the history of the buildings and the way of life

How did the narrator detract from the book?

she whispers when she narrates. Actual stories and character voices are great, but the voice that ties them together is the one I use reading a good night story to make a toddler drift off.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

it would be a lousy film, no action all history

How do you create your own definition of success - and reach your unique potential? Building a fulfilling life and career can be a daunting challenge. It takes courage and hard work. Too often, we charge down a path leading to “success” as defined by those around us - and ultimately, are left feeling dissatisfied. Each of us is unique and brings distinctive skills and qualities to any situation. So why is it that most of us fail to spend sufficient time learning to understand ourselves and creating our own definition of success?

What would have made What You're Really Meant To Do better?

Better would have spent the first chapter on something more interesting than why to read the book. I do have it already. The second chapter discussed how to get more out of your annual employment interview (I'm self employed, not helpful). The third chapter focused on coaching and mentoring, still no information about how to figure out what you (or I) am ment to do

Would you ever listen to anything by Robert Steven Kaplan again?

No, no, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars, heck NO

Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

What made the experience of listening to Dragon Bound the most enjoyable?

The experience was most enjoyable because of the variety of mythical creatures dealing with modern day life....sort of

What other book might you compare Dragon Bound to and why?

The Anne McCafferty Dragon series, also speaks with the voices of dragons and the people who love them. In this book add a little gang tension and a Vegas style mob. Then shuffle up the talents so nobody is boring.

What does Sophie Eastlake bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    The voices were wonderful.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed and cried. If they would have left out all the sex I would recommend it to everybody.

After 12 years of secret training, Atticus O’Sullivan is finally ready to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth and double the number of Druids in the world. But on the eve of the ritual, the world that thought he was dead abruptly discovers that he’s still alive, and they would much rather he return to the grave. Having no other choice, Atticus, his trusted Irish wolfhound, Oberon, and Granuaile travel to the base of Mount Olympus, where the Roman god Bacchus is anxious to take his sworn revenge - but he’ll have to get in line behind an ancient vampire, a band of dark elves, and an old god of mischief.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I worried when book 4 ran out of steam at the end and book 5 is all war and gore and none of the enchanting character insights and interactions. The author is bored or tired, but the narrator is still in great form. It ties up loose ends if you need that but I wish I hadn't wasted my time with it

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II. With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch hunt.
