In the resplendence of William the Conqueror's London court, the lovely Saxon captive, Nicholaa was forced to choose a husband from the assembled Norman nobles. She chose Royce, a baron warrior whose fierce demeanor could not conceal his chivalrous and tender heart. Resourceful, rebellious and utterly naive, Nicholaa vowed to bend Royce to her will, despite the whirlwind of feelings he aroused in her.

What made the experience of listening to The Prize the most enjoyable?

One thing that made the prize very enjoyable was the narrator. I have listened to books read by her before, and as always, she did a spectacular job. Another enjoyable thing was the way that roice kept doing sweet and romantic things in his attempt to make Nicolah happy. There was also plenty of action which kept the book interesting. Finally, there was some sex, but that was not the whole focus of the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Prize?

One memorable moment was when Nicolah saved the king from an arrow shot. There was also the moment when Nicolah nearly fell over the banister when the rotted banister wood gave way.

Have you listened to any of Anne Flosnikā€™s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Please see above for this answer. She did a very good job as always.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment that most moved or impacted me was when Roice was found carving a new queen to replace the chess piece that a cruel soldier ruined. That was perhaps one of the most romantic parts of the book. It really made the book woth it.
