Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

Western icon William W. Johnstone, author of the acclaimed Mountain Man series, teams with J. A. Johnstone for this tale that brings together three of his most popular heroes. Preacher, Smoke, and Matt comprise the Jensen family - three generations of legendary frontiersman. When a ruthless cattle baron brings a small army of hired guns to Preacher’s neck of the woods, it falls to the Jensens to stand tall and return fire. And they intend to fight to the last man, because the Jensens never back down from a fight.

What made the experience of listening to The Family Jensen the most enjoyable?

I now own the first two of the family Jensen. They are easy listening with good plot line.

What other book might you compare The Family Jensen to and why?

These compare to Lamour only better in my opinion.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Good from start to finish.

Who was the most memorable character of The Family Jensen and why?

Preacher. Inside every man is a boy who wanted to be a crotchety old mountain man.

Unconfirmed accounts of a group of Araluen warriors - tales of adventure, battle, and triumph over evil - have spread for centuries throughout the known world. Most notable is a clan shrouded in mystery, phantom warriors known as the Rangers. Two names pass the lips of every storyteller: Halt, and his apprentice, Will. They and their comrades in arms are said to have traveled throughout the kingdom and beyond its borders, protecting those who needed it most.
