What did you love best about The Elusive Mrs. Pollifax?

I never get tired of listening to the Mrs. Pollifax series. The Elusive Mrs. Pollifx is entertaining and one of the best of the series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Mrs. Pollifx of course!

Have you listened to any of Barbara Rosenblat’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes and I love her reading style. I find she has the ability to make you believe she really is Mrs. Pollifax.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

    The ending.

    Any additional comments?

If you want a fun read (or listen) try the Mrs. Pollifax series. The first one is "The Unexpected Mrs. Pollifax". I find the first 4 of this series to be the best, but I have enjoyed them all.

In I’ll Walk Alone, Alexandra “Zan” Moreland, a gifted, beautiful interior designer on the threshold of a successful Manhattan career, is terrified to discover that somebody is not only using her credit cards and manipulating her financial accounts to bankrupt her and destroy her reputation, but may also be impersonating her in a scheme that may involve the much more brutal crimes of kidnapping and murder.

What did you like best about this story?

    The suspense.

    Any additional comments?

I so appreciate MHC stories. Not only are they suspensful and interesting, but also that she does not have to include bad language such as the "f" word on every page or graphic descriptions that some writers today feel they need to insert to sell their books. I know that when I chose a Mary Higgins Clark book, I am going to be entertained and not disgusted. Please keep it up.

If you think you know George Washington, think again. This is the amazing true story of a real-life superhero who wore no cape and possessed no special powers—yet changed the world forever. It's a story about a man whose life reads as if it were torn from the pages of an action novel: Bullet holes through his clothing. Horses shot out from under him. Unimaginable hardship. Disease. Heroism. Spies and double-agents. And, of course, the unmistakable hand of Divine Providence that guided it all.

Dell says: "My hero has been brought back. Thanks Glenn."
    "Fantastic book. Recommended highly."

Would you consider the audio edition of Being George Washington to be better than the print version?

Only listened to it, didn't read it.

What did you like best about this story?

All the little mentioned facts about George Washington and how they all played a huge part in shaping him as a leader and how they helped him shape our country.

Have you listened to any of Ron McLarty’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not sure if I heard him before but he was very good.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me proud to be an American.

    Any additional comments?

This should be required reading for ALL American citizens and especially those who are elected to office as a requirement to occupy that "elected" position. I live in an city that played a significant part in the history of the Revolutionary War period, and in very close proximity to a major civil war battlefield. These are the places my parents took us to when on vacation and how I learned about what a great and unique country we live in and mainly all because of one man -- George Washington. Thank you Glen for writing this book.
