This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need to be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.

Simply the best modern translation of the Bible in existence. Not for detailed study of the scripture, but the translation was written to be read like a novel, and it succeeds. Many scriptures I'd been confused over became clear with this translation. I'm eagerly awaiting the Old Testament.

In this little audiobook, you're going to discover that Jesus revealed a direct link between what you do today and what you will experience after you die. What you'll discover will unlock the power and potential of your life, starting now. And you'll begin to live with the unshakable certainty that what you do today matters forever!

Huh. Jesus' apostles died poor and violent deaths. The enormous hubris this author shows both in this book and in Jabez is anti-gospel, and it promotes a motive for giving that is selfish and unchristian. Avoid this book at all costs. Check out WAKING THE DEAD: THE GLORY OF THE HUMAN HEART by John Elderidge. You will be blessed beyond the telling. Don't give this author any more money. It only encourages him.

Jesus said, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." That's the offer of Christianity, from God himself.

    Eldridge's best book.

He poses the questions everyone asks themselves, but never publicly.

Careful. Downloading this one might change your life.

Sometimes it seems we just can't get what we want. Circumstances thwart our best-laid plans. We struggle to live a heartfelt life. Worst of all, says Eldredge, the modern church mistakenly teaches its people to kill desire (calling it sin) and replace it with duty or obligation (calling it sanctification).

As a Christian who was brought up with the dismal view of Heaven as sitting around singing "Amazing Grace" ad nauseum for eternity, the book helped reshape my view of living a life for Christ and connected me with my hopes, dreams and desires in an entirely new manner. For everyone who has walked away from the Church and its duties and obligations, this book will help you reshape your theology into one that celebrates the life God sent His Son to die for. You're not the only one who has had questions that nobody else talks about; Elderidge brings them out into the open and offers scriptural solutions.
