In a voice both haunting and startlingly immediate, Nitta Sayuri describes her life as a geisha. Taken from her home at the age of nine, she is sold into slavery to a renowned geisha house. Witness her transformation as you enter a world where appearances are paramount, virginity is auctioned to the highest bidder, women beguile powerful men, and love is scorned as illusion.

Do not read this in the abridged form - you will miss so much!

Uilleam MacRieve, a centuries-old Lykae warrior, was captured, caged, and experimented on by a shadowy human order, along with other immortals. During a prison break that devolved into one of the bloodiest massacres in recent history, he escapes. But the aftermath of his unspeakable torture preys on his damaged mind, while the wolf inside him roars for vengeance and carnage. In the days leading up to the full moon, can MacRieve rein in his beast, even when he encounters his mate - a vexingly impossible female unlike anything he'd ever dreamed for himself?

Have you listened to any of Robert Petkoff’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not previously, but I will in the future.

    Any additional comments?

This is a great addition to the series. My only complaint: I wish the cover was different. This was not my imagining of Macrieve, and the publishers do us (the readers) a disservice by forcing their interpretation of the character down our throats. One of the great joys of reading/listening is to have that flexibility of imagination.

New York Times best-selling author Laurie R. King has won sweeping critical acclaim and an impressive collection of awards for her writing. Although other writers have tried, no one has matched King's ability to capture the allure of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary sleuth, Sherlock Holmes.

Melanie says: "Don't miss this jewel!"
    "Laurie King's"
    Overall

This another worthy addition to the series, extending and deepening the characters of Russell and Holmes. The reader does a really excellent job of capturing King's characters. Thoroughly enjoyable!

Jay Jarvis is pondering commitment. But his math is getting complicated. Can he survive a trip through the Outback with his cluster of quirky friends? Or will the allure of a wild roochase spoil his perfectly-calculated plans? Ray Blackston's back with more sidesplitting humor, unconventional characters, and electrifying dialogue.

I didn't realise this was a "Young Christians" book, and almost didn't finish it. I guess I'm glad I did ... but I can't recommend it to the general reading public.
