One of the best-known stories in American culture, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz has stirred the imagination of young and old alike for over 100 years. Best Actress nominee Anne Hathaway (Rachel Getting Married, Alice In Wonderland), fresh from filming one of this year’s most anticipated films, The Dark Knight Rises, lends her voice to this uniquely American fairy tale.

What did you love best about The Wonderful Wizard of Oz?

Anne Hathaway's use of voices and characterisations to keep every one audibly separate and recognizable.

What did you like best about this story?

The simple fact that there were many elements which were not in the (classic) movie.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's Technicolor Triumph!

    Any additional comments?

As always the book is better than the movie. However I prefer the movie's editing in that there are several scenes in the book which are too long and unnecessary.

Anne Hathaway's performance(s) make this so much more enjoyable than the film even if you've seen the film an uncountable number of times (like myself).

Linda McKinney is a myrmecologist, a scientist who studies the social structure of ants. Her academic career has left her entirely unprepared for the day her sophisticated research is conscripted by unknown forces to help run an unmanned - and thanks to her research, automated - drone army. Odin is the secretive Special Ops soldier with a unique insight into the faceless enemy who has begun to attack the American homeland with drones programmed to seek, identify, and execute targets.

Madeleine says: "What's that droning sound?"
"Suarez does it again with help from Gurner"

Would you consider the audio edition of Kill Decision to be better than the print version?

I would consider them equal. I listened to / read the book using Whispersync for Audio: starting the book by listening and finishing the book on my Kindle. They were both great.

What about Jeff Gurner’s performance did you like?

His subtle use of voices and characterisations truly made each character unique and he brought the book to life without it sounding like a radio production.
