The narrator Edward Hermann brings this extremely well written book to life. I have recommended it numerous times as one of the best audio books. It is an incredible story that reads like fiction -- but is well researched with a lot of detail that only adds to the tale. As a history teacher it should not amaze me that new stories continue to come out of World War II -- but it does. This is one of the best -- it adds to my understanding of World War II and makes me marvel at our inhumanity and at our human resilience.
Catching Fire builds on The Hunger Games well. Even though I had read the book first I found myself gripping the steering wheel during parts of the tale. Such a great story, well written and narrated.
I really enjoyed The Winter Sea and have been waiting for this book to be released. The Rose Garden was better !! Couldn't stop listening -- thank goodness I had a lot of cooking to do this weekend in preparation for Thanksgiving. Great story. Great narrator.
One of the best listens...totally engaging from the first moment. The book comes to life with several readers who made me forget my dull commute.
