"Brilliant!"
David Tennant at his best; lots of voices for him to do. This is a great story, and DT knows how to bring it to life.
"poor story"
A shame, as I like any of the doctor who audios narrated by nicholas briggs, but this was just a really bad story. It skipped around everywhere and barely made any sense. I found I really didn't care about any of the characters, and the companions seemed like an after thought. I have bought one other oli smith story which I didn't like either. I must remember to give him a miss next time.
"Really intriguing story"
I buy these audio books for myself and my kids. I have to say that I don't know if my kids will enjoy this story as much, but I loved it. The angels are back, but in a new way. I really wanted to find out what would happen next, and "couldn't put it down". Clare Corbett does a really good job narrating. I will be listening to this one again.
"This is an AMERICAN narrator"
I'm sorry, but Doctor who is ENGLISH. Having someone doing the most APPALLINGLY bad English accent for both Rose and The Doctor DOES NOT WORK!!!!! I have only listened for 10 minutes and I really don't know if I can be bothered listening to the rest.
"Really good story"
I enjoyed this so much. Nicholas Briggs is a fantastic narrator (some of my favourite Doctor who audio books are done by him) and he does Christopher Ecclestone so well. It was nice to have a 9th doctor audiobook. The story is really good- like a murder mystery.
"More for kids"
As an adult, I love the Doctor Who audio books, even though they say they are aimed at kids. This one, with badger headed creatures some how seemed more child like. Freema Agyeman also lacks the ability to do the many different voices that other narrators are capable of. She does a decent 10th doctor though.
"Bernard's Doctor lets down this story"
This was a really interesting story, but I found it really hard to listen to Bernard Cribbins' portrayal of the 10th doctor. He totally misses the boat on the voice. The story is worth listening to, though.
"An interesting addition to the Doctor Who stories"
For those who know the Judoon episodes, this was thoroughly enjoyable. Nicholas Briggs does the Judoon voices on the TV shows, but is also able to totally capture the essence of David Tennant's 10th doctor.
"Another Tennant triumph"
David Tennant brings these enthralling stories to life brilliantly! Both my 10 year old and I were captured by this story. The stories are fantastic, but David Tennant makes them a joy to listen to.
