In the compelling conclusion to the New York Times best-seller Her Mother’s Hope, Christy Award-winning author Francine Rivers explores the sorrow that can tear families apart and the grace that can heal the deepest wounds. Just as Carolyn had formed a stronger bond with her Oma Marta than with her mother, so Carolyn’s daughter is drawn to her grandma more than to a mom who’s caught up in the 1960s counterculture....

This book is fantastic. Very touching story. I loved Stina Nielsen as the narrator. Great fluctuation of the voice, accents, etc. Francine Rivers is one of my favorite authors.

    1. Could not see anywhere on Audible's website what version of the Bible this was done in. Very disappointed in the translation.

    2. Would be helpful if the audio bible was broke down in books (not parts), etc. so it would be easier to select a certain book you wanted to listen too.

    3. Also this particular audio book shows Angela Bassett as the main narrator. However, the main narration was done by a male - not a female.

    4. I found the voice for Moses dull and very irritating.

    5. Some the background music grated on my nerves (especially the high-pitched strings)

    6. I find it extremely interesting that the group who put this audiobook together used various voices (including female!) for David in the book of Psalms.

If it wasn't for all the aforementioned I might would have given this four stars for overall.

I AM AN AVID BIBLE READER AND FOUND PORTIONS OF THIS BOOK NOT IN SCRIPTURE. ALSO FOUND PARTS OF THE BOOK VERY IRRITATING FOR REASON OR ANOTHER AND HAD TO FAST FORWARD THROUGH PARTS OF THE BOOK. AGAIN THE BEST PART OF THE BOOK WAS THE NARRATOR. I WILL NOT BE LISTENING TO THE OTHER TWO BOOKS IN THIS SERIES.

The second book in her Chronicles of the Kings series, Song of Redemption, is a retelling of the life of Hezekiah, King of Judah from 716 to 687 BC. After years of idolatry, Judah's temple has been cleansed and Hezekiah has brought God's law back to his people. But when he incurs the wrath of the barbaric Assyrians, he will need help from a surprising source.

I found this book disturbing in parts. Gruesome. Too gory in part for me. However, it does let you know what it might have been like living in this time period. The narrator did an excellent job reading the various parts. You can feel the empathy, etc. in her voice. After I finish the 3rd book, I probably will not finish this serious.

Many consider this rich social commentary to be Jane Austen's finest novel. It is certainly among her more famous ones. Austen sets her entertaining study of manners and misconceptions against the backdrop of a class-conscious society in 18th-century England.

I found the narrator's voice extremely irritating. If it wasn't for the story line, I wouldn't have finished. The story is a very touching one. However, the author left you up in the air at the end. I dislike this about an author. Another irritating thing, is the story is broke into two parts - when the send part started, it automatically fast forwarded past the beginning of the second part. I had to rewind it to the beginning of the second part to get to the beginning of it.
