She was the brain, the sparkle, the gay rebel of the sorority, and wonder of wonders, she chose Laura as her roommate. That was how it began. Suddenly they were alone on an island of forbidden bliss…. Here is the first novel in the Beebo Brinker Chronicles, the classic 1950s love stories from the queen of lesbian fiction.

Laura is a young lass at collage where she meets the lovely Beth feelings and a few other things are explored but I wont spoil it for you ,this was written in the fifty's by the brilliant Ann Bannon who also introduces the book, some how make's it timeless, maybe it's just love and broken hearts that are timeless ( sigh ) . It is a time warp and I enjoyed it thoroughly .

Savor gorgeous writing and the pleasure of romance with Best Lesbian Romance 2014. The lesbian literati in this volume comprising the very best of the year raise the bar with tales that grab listener's attention, and their libidos, and have them coming back for more. Romance is many things: Thrilling, inspiring, passionate, and life-altering. But most of all, love - whether new or lifelong - is filled with endless possibility.

A Room of One's Own, based on a lecture given at Girton College Cambridge, is one of the great feminist polemics. Woolf's blazing polemic on female creativity, the role of the writer, and the silent fate of Shakespeare's imaginary sister remains a powerful reminder of a woman's need for financial independence and intellectual freedom.

I can not express how much I loved this book , there are no words that do not pale in comparison to the strength, integrity and humor of this delight.
I fell I'm tarnishing the alphabet by writing this review but I need to say that one Juliet Stevenson should read every book she is amazing ,her voice gives such gravity to Virginia wisdom and two the fact that a woman was fighting for her sex's rights back in her day and age makes me proud to be a woman and a feminist . In my time where the word feminism has become something to hide or be ashamed take strength form this book , it will make you scream your a feminist from the roof tops ..

The Weather is not the only steamy presence in this romance ,Sailor Max and the brave aid worker Rachel , manage to find each other even under heavy fire . Radclyfe went above and beyond in the realistic department, I was exhausted just listing to this intense tale of love in the middle of a war zone . I found the action not being in the bed room refreshing , don't panic it wouldn't be a Radclife without that but it was nice not o have sex as the point of focus .

So I was a little harsh with the first book so I must redeem my self and say that I enjoyed this one much more and will continue to read the next one in the series ,I still don't love the overly breathy narrator but I got over her and was lost in the lives of the strong doctor and sexy sheriff , every available lull in this story is filled with sex so if that bothers you this is not for you ,but I have a feeling if your a Radclyffe fan it wont.
Good drama and Radcliffe seance of humor is alive and well ,I'm falling for these characters and I'm looking forward to seeing where the their all heading .

She's back after the last book in this sires I was worried but I am very pleased to say apart from an abrupt ending this was one of my favorites.
Many secrets are answered in this book but then again that just made room for more questions.
The humor that was missing from the last book is back I laughed out load ,Danny the troll Taxi driver is in fine form as is Tibolt who is always in fine form , our heroin continues to push her body and her mind too and beyond the limits, but Toby is always up for the challenge that's why we love her.

An orchestral conductor has been found dead and Detective Inspector Jack Robinson needs the delightfully incisive and sophisticated Miss Fisher's assistance. Hugh Tregennis has been murdered in a most flamboyant mode by a killer with a point to prove. But how many killers is Phryne really stalking? At the same time, the dark curls and disdainful air of mathematician and code-breaker Rupert Sheffield are taking Melbourne by storm. They've certainly taken the heart of Phryne's old friend from the trenches of WWI, John Wilson. Phryne recognises Sheffield as a man who attracts danger and is determined to protect John from harm.

For some reason Kerry Greenwood has been channeling Tennessee Williams and Arthur Conan Doyle in this attempt to get Sherlock homes and Watson together as she had always envisioned in this thinly veiled attempt she explains this at the end of the book with frankly I enjoyed more than this particulate tale ,The names have been changed to protect the innocent but I found it indulgent and tiring the padding around this affair was horrible ,Stephanie (cant carry a tune in a bucket) Daniel sings if you have been on the receiving end of this I don't need to say anymore .I love these books but this was just too ,to much .

Maybe two stars was a little harsh for story but it was getting so over done towards the end maybe not.
Two things put me of here the repetitiveness of the story the same fell and dialog was getting a bit thin, I always enjoyed and looked forward to Radclyffe's story's in the lesbian short stories audible has but perhaps that's the problem length, filling holes in her story's with sex seances that are not terribly imaginative ,the last few I have read fell like it's a race to get to the end rushed and clunky.
Right if you have decided that Radcyffe is for and you don't care for my opinion that's cool but please beware of this narrator for some reason she takes a sharp breath before every sentence I was amazed she didn't pass out from lack of oxygen I found it very disruptive perhaps you like like that kind of thing but personally I'm done...

It pains me to say this so called second book or as I like to put it the other bit left over from the first installment ,is boring but it lacked very much in the story department which is not what I have come to expect from Radclyffe she usually delivers in spades.
I personally would recommend Hostage Moon By Quinn same story just told better,

The first in the Honor series, Above All, Honor introduces single-minded Secret Service Agent Cameron Roberts and the woman she is sworn to protect - Blair Powell, the daughter of the President of the United States. Cam's duty is her life - and the only thing that keeps her from self-destructing under the unbearable weight of her own deep personal tragedy. However, she hasn't counted on the fact that the beautiful, willful first daughter will do anything in her power to escape the watchful eyes of her protectors, including seducing the agent in charge.

There is no denying that the great Radclyffe has bought us a fine character in secret service agent Cameron Roberts ,strong, hot , racked with guilt and fighting the feelings she knows she shouldn't be having for the presidents daughter ,the feisty Blair Powell, the young woman she has been appointed to protect.
This would have been great if it didn't seemed rushed and nothing more than a set up for the sequel which you get a taste of at the end of this book .
Personally I felt short changed it felt like she had to force every cliche in the book ,in the book and once all the boxes where ticked it was sequel time .
She has me and I will read the next installment ,just be aware this book is just a really long prolog .
