This ranks about the middle. the book is not as bad as some i have read. these ARE short stories.
It takes all types of authors to make a story....
as always a fast paced high speed story that keeps you on edge until the last spell is cast.
All the stories are available in other anthologies. If this is your first collection of short stories, then have at thee...good listens.
Good Story. I have the book and have read it twice. This narration needs, NEEDS to be redone. Throw this version away...redo it, because...well...not every sentence, conversation etc. should end in a question, and the characters...enough said. The story was boring, and needs a redo.
Great start to a series..Jenny,'s excellent narration is a pleasure to listen to as the story progressed. I heartily recommend this marvelous work of fiction.
This is a great story that i have listened to a number of times. A fine listen on trips.
Great story, original and fresh.
Most memorable was on top of the pyramid and...not spoiling.
I would not have read it because of time...I listen as I drive.
In the timeless storyline of mans struggle with change, this story ties the standard with Tolkien. I first read the series in '87, and marveled at the story line then. I discovered it as a audible and quickly bought the series.
Well spoken, good pitch,
The same as the trilogy from Doubleday books..."the Stars of Hed"
