I loved it. The author moves the story along at a fairly quick pace, with lots of entertaining details along the way. Pretty fascinating, I thought. The narrator is A+
I really enjoyed this. Wonderful reading by John Lee. Great writing by the author and although the "story" moves along swiftly, there's actually a lot of historical detail. What a story! It's rich and full of characters. You'd swear you're listening to some well plotted spy thriller. Highly recommended.
I enjoyed it, good writing and moves right along. Interesting to think of how myelin works.
Good writing, intrigue and action, and some wonderful characters. I thought the plot (plots) went in many directions, so much so that it was distracting. But I had to finish it just to see who came out on top in the end! The reader, Christopher Lane, did a great job bringing so many characters to life.
Good story with twists and turns and surprises. M Connelly takes you right into these crime investigation & courtroom situations and you feel like you're right there. I thought the ending was...unique, but valid.
This is a great story, rich and exciting and well told. I felt like I was right there in the camp with all the characters. George Guidall's reading is very dramatic. I loved this audiobook, 5 stars.
I'd read Three Cups of Tea and enjoyed it immensely. Although I felt that the first few chapters of this sequel were slow, the book sure clicked into gear and began to build a momentum. By the last third of the book, it felt like a thriller! And it's all the more amazing because it's a true story. The final chapters were very, very moving and I'll say this: Greg Mortenson and the activities of his group remind us all of what is really important in life.
The story moves through a number of lonely, lost lives. Tragedy, sadness, disappointment. I felt as though I was peering under a dark cloud at the people who called it home, and above it all was a daredevil who walked on a wire.
The crazy, amazing events of Greg Mortenson's life could only be true. I learned so much from listening to this book. The reader did a good job with a variety of accents. His good reading and the ever-surprising events of GM's life kept me listening until the final word.
