Julia's reading added to Brooks' character. She portrayed his calm and smooth style very well.
I don't want to spoil the story by giving details. The first 1/3 of the story was suspenseful and shocking (in a good way!)
The funny parts aren't funny. The rest of her memoir is mostly uninteresting.
Amy mentions the difficulty writing the book in an extended preface. Well, that really came out in the book. A memoir is not the same as writing comedy and scripts. I just don't think this is Amy's genre.
I kept thinking -the author can't really be a woman! The dialog, written from Drew's point of view was vile. I wouldn't want to know this man in life -so why would I want to hear his thoughts?
Don't make a repugnant human being the lead character.
I wish I could get my credit back!
I loved the dialog and humor in this book. I was sad when the story ended -the sign of a good book! The narrator did a great job with the accents, and the male and female voices in the story.
