Although this is clearly a totally rosy picture of Queen Elizabeth II, I found it very informative and interesting. The narrator did a good job too. Well worth a credit.
Loved this book even more than the first one and will certainly continue to follow Merrily Watkins' adventures. Well written, well crafted and well narrated.
For some odd reason I had rather low expectations of this book and bought it on a whim. What a surprise though! Kept me enthralled from start to finish. Well written, well narrated, good characters, good story....would love a sequel.
My first Nora Roberts book. The Witness turned out to be quite the page turner. I thoroughly enjoyed the fast pace and the characters. Julia Whelan did a spectacular job.
I wasn't expecting a great deal from this book, but ended up completely bowled over. What a nice surprise. Great characters, interesting and well written story. At the very beginning I wasn't too sure about the narration, but soon, as you get into the book, the reader begins to develop her characterisations marvellously. The reading adds greatly to the listen. Well done Jenny Sterlin... I'll certainly look out for more read by you!
I was expecting Caring is Creepy to be rather lightweight. Ok... it's not heavyweight, but it was certainly a nice surprise.
Well written, good characters and a story that kept you glued to the book... or rather the earphones.
There were a few inconsistencies, but not enough to seriously detract.
Also, I loved the narration. Took me a little bit to get into her rendering, but she really brought the characters to life and I loved how she differentiated so well between them.
I approached this listen with some trepidation, but need not have worried. My only regret is that I hadn't listened or read this timeless masterpiece sooner. The many hours went by in a flash and I was totally absorbed at all times.
I can't praise the George Guidall's interpretation highly enough. Wonderful!
Maintained my interest from start to finish and, as the story developed, the tension built nicely. Pretty creepy. Nicely narrated too.
As ever, Gary Taubes makes a compelling case. This is a very interesting read. The narrator does a very good job of keeping complex material clear. I was very disappointed though that the appendices are missing as well as the photos, which could perhaps be available as a download.
Thoroughly enjoyed this Stephen King.... particularly the last three of the four stories. Jessica Hecht reads beautifully.
Am giving this four stars because I had a little trouble with Craig Wasson's interpretation... just a little over the top.
