Great narrator, to a fantastic Young Adult Fantasy series. Very smooth and easy too listen too. Makes the story alive and vibrant. The Story is 3rd in the series, and I have found each book is just as good as the last, with a story that evolve's and enriches in details, story and character.
The Old Kingdom by ironically the same author, while made for a slightly older audience, is the closest likeness that comes straight too mind. Also Tamora Pierce's style.
Read it, Listen too it. And you will want too do it all over again, and again.

Urban Fantasy at its Best, the noir detective with magic, gods, demons, angels, fatal females, grumpy bartenders and a man in a bowler hat. In this book find out how the mother of all monsters comes into play as a bad mother too have.
Badass Detective With MAGIC!
The main character, he did the internal monolouge very well.
