Before he was considered a CIA superagent, before he was thought of as a terrorists worst nightmare, and before he was both loathed and admired by the politicians on Capitol Hill, Mitch Rapp was a gifted college athlete without a care in the world . . . and then tragedy struck.

This stunning debut novel from Australian author Lucy Christopher generated considerable buzz for its nonstop suspense and breathtaking imagery. Sixteen-year-old Gemma is on a layover at Bangkok Airport, headed to Vietnam with her parents. Then the vaguely familiar Ty drugs Gemma’s drink and steals her away. Her head swirling in confusion, Gemma soon finds herself fighting to survive in the unforgiving Outback.

The start of this book was quite good but then it seemed to thin out, I like teenage books loved the Hunger Games but I feel this book finished half way through a story and Im really not sure if I want to pay another credit to find out what happens. Its not a bad story but I dont think it was gripping or interesting enough to pay 2 credits for. I feel cheated as if the Auther wrote a book then chopped it half to make a series.

I was worried when I downloaded this book that it may be too long and I would either lose interest or I would become confused, but I'm happy to say that neither happened, this book was great once I started reading I didn't want to stop I think this book was one of the best reads I have had in a long time and I would recommend it if you are into the end of the world apocalypse type of story

Why we think it’s a great listen: Some books are meant to be read; others are meant to be heard – Water for Elephants falls into the second group, and is one of the best examples we have of how a powerful performance enhances a great story. Nonagenarian Jacob Jankowski reflects back on his wild and wondrous days with a circus. It's the Depression Era and Jacob, finding himself parentless and penniless, joins the Benzini Brothers Most Spectacular Show on Earth.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I saw the ads for the Movie on the TV and decided to read the book, I thought it would be a cute story about a boy and a Tiger on a boat, but it was not what I expected, the story is about a Indian boys look at life, some parts of the book were very harsh and I was disturbed by the account of the Hienna eating the Zebra whilst it was still alive

What about Jeff Woodman’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed the way he told the story and was very easy to listern too

Was Life of Pi worth the listening time?

I thought the story was well told and interesting and it will be one of these books you think about long after its finished.

Low-level entertainment lawyer Nick Carter thinks it's a prank, not an alien encounter, when a redheaded mullah and a curvaceous nun show up at his office. But Frampton and Carly are highly advanced (if bumbling) extraterrestrials. And boy, do they have news. The entire cosmos, they tell him, has been hopelessly hooked on humanity's music ever since "Year Zero" (1977 to us), when American pop songs first reached alien ears. This addiction has driven a vast intergalactic society to commit the biggest copyright violation since the Big Bang.
