I like nearly every book I listen to during my 2+ hour daily commute. I LOVED the Da Vinci Code. This, on the other hand, was a painful one to hear. The plot dragged on and on and on. There were elaborate descriptions of why characters did what they did, but the "why" wasn't interesting. I should have skipped the last four hours and borrowed someone's book to see the ending.
This was a very fun story. I laughed out loud (and woke up my wife). Grandma is a riot. This is definitely worth a listen; very enjoyable.
I've read 1-3 and 10 in the Stephanie Plum series and thoroughly enjoyed them...at many points laughed aloud. This, on the other hand, was basically boring. It wasn't very funny until parts at the end; the plot was ridiculous at points; characters were rather uninteresting. I'd recommend that you skip this one and stick with the "numbered" Stephanie Plum series.
The Testament made my 2-hour round trip commute fly by. I found myself actually looking forward to getting in the car to continue listening. Very entertaining!
