I am sure Michaels is a good writer but this novel was a waste of my money. There were too many characters and too many subplots. If one had been chosen and developed, it would have been palatable.

Johanna Walker is used to taking charge. But she’s about to meet someone who will make her lose control....

It has always been up to Johanna to care for her family, particularly her younger brother, Cole. With an absent father and a useless mother, she’s been making decisions based on what’s best for Cole for as long as she can remember. She even determines what men to date by how much they can provide for her brother and her, not on whatever sparks may - or may not - fly. But with Cameron MacCabe, the attraction is undeniable....

Love this work and the "sister" novel, "On Dublin Street." This book takes a bit too long for my tastes to get Jo and Cam together, as well as to get some of the misunderstandings out of the way. *****SPOILER ALERT: If Cam were my man and had done all of the things he did (or didn't do) with his ex in the novel, he'd have been left in the dust. That part kind of irritated me.*****

The narrator is perfection! I love this series and look forward to the other books in store!

I think it's a good idea to wait a while between listening to each of the books I'm this series. I, unfortunately, did not and found myself bored with this final installment in the trilogy. The repetition of several words grated on my nerves, as did the whiny voice of the actress--although I don't know if that was her voice or her interpretation of the character. A must-listen to complete the series but predictable in its plot.

Best-selling novelist Kate Drake is one of seven sisters gifted with amazing powers of witchcraft. Returning home in time for her northern California town's annual Christmas pageant, Kate catches the spirit of the season and decides to open a bookstore in a charming but run-down historic mill. Decorated former U.S. Army Ranger Matt Granite, now a local contractor, doesn't mind working in the undeniably eerie house -- not if it means getting closer to Kate. There's something about the quiet, sensual woman that powerfully attracts him.

This is part of a series but it is extremely short and, in my opinion, not worth the price I paid. Others in the series are twice as long and cost the same.

I've started to listen to the Drake Sisters series and it's enjoyable but the stories are all extremely predictable. I recommend them but with the caveat that they all follow the same formula; this brings an idea of visiting with an old friend each time I listen to a new one.

When you think of what it will take to clean your house, are you so overwhelmed you throw up your hands and cry, "It's all too much"? I love Peter Walsh and I enjoyed this book. Let's be honest: It really is kind of hard to come up with The One and Only Method to Organize; this topic has been covered time and again, so it's very challenging to inspire the chronically disorganized like me. Peter achieved it and I have to give him credit for effectively reading his own book.

The issue I have with the book does not have anything to do with him, though... I was frustrated that the awesome worksheets he kept mentioning were not available to me. I would think that the world of audio books had developed enough to make them available for download on the site once you purchased the book. Even so, his descriptions are so detailed that you can easily work around not having them.

Little else in life is as dangerous as fire jumping. Flying past towering pillars of smoke, parachuting down to the edge of an all-consuming blaze, shoveling and sawing for hours upon hours, days at a time, all to hold the line and push back against the raw power of Mother Nature. But there’s also little else as thrilling - at least to Rowan Tripp. The Missoula smoke jumpers are one of the most exclusive firefighting squads in the nation, and the job is in Rowan’s blood: her father is a legend in the field. She’s been fighting fires since her eighteenth birthday.

This book had a lot of potential and could have been another entertaining Roberts romance to help keep my mind off things like cleaning and rush-hour traffic. However, I did not like that the main male and female characters were a couple right off the bat. Yes, I can understand that she wanted to break from the same formula of virtually every other book she's written, but I have come to appreciate that. The information on how the firefighters train is very interesting and admirable.
