"Kept this Amelia Peabody fan happy!"
Each book gets better. You are more invested in the characters with every book. If you haven't read the rest of the series WAIT. Start at the beginning with Crocodile in the Sandbank. You'll appreciate this one more if you do. Loved it!
"Neither Sad nor Super"
I can't beleive I finished it. Hours of my life I will never get back.
"How did this spawn an entire series?"
I really like Orson Scott Card books. REALLY lilke them. But this one just never seemed to go anywhere. Most of the characters are not likable and you don't really care what happens to them. I will probably read the next one for the same reason I picked up this one.....to see what the hype is about. I certainly didn't find my answer in this book.
"Fun Fun Fun"
I'm a fan of the series, but not a fan of every title! This one however has the fun, humor, and sex appeal I've missed in the last 2 books. Definately worth it.
"Excellent Trilogy"
I enjoyed all 3 books and this one did not disappoint me. I expect that we will hear more about this story in his next book.
"Fundamentalist Dibble!"
You need to beleive that God is spiteful, judgemental, resentful, and angry to buy this theory! This guy is like most fundamentalists, in touch with Jesus and everything he said and did but has no relationship with or concept of God. Why would God have a character that would in his own theory, condemn us earthlings to hell?
"Vulgar, perverse, weird"
If you're into that, buy it. Otherwise, don't waste your money or time. I couldn't finish it.
"Loved this book! Definately worth a listen."
This is not my usual type of book, and I only read it because a friend pushed me to read it. I am so grateful he did. It was wonderful. A classic in the making.
"Likable book about a not so likable character"
I kept hoping the book was going somewhere, and while it was an interesting journey, it was an anti-climatic book. I couldn't even like a single character no matter how much I tried.
"LOVED IT! And recommended it to many friends!"
A little Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings stirred together. Everyone of all ages will love this book!
"Ugh! No point!"
Has some redeeming historical value, but no plot, no point. It flys back and forth through time and its difficult to follow. Main characters are killed off but you dont really care. I did finish the book but really would not recommend it to anyone. I guess I kept hoping the story would go somewhere it never went.
