The fabled desert kingdom of Zulheina was Tariq’s birthright, and he was a man who held tightly what belonged to him. And that meant he had to reclaim a very special woman - the woman who had broken his heart years before in New Zealand. And once he had lured her to this distant land, he meant to keep his new bride here forever.

Most of the passages make no sense. If the characters were supposed to have a resemblance of real people, with real reactions to real life, the author failed miserably. It seems like the author just put some "whatever" together to have an excuse to describe sex encounters. At least that part was interesting. The narrator could have done better also. I could not listen past the first 20 minutes.

Highland laird Conor McTiernay had always dreamed of an enduring love. But the reality of women who desired him only for his title and lands made him swear off marriage forever. That is until he first set eyes on the Englishwoman his men found hiding in the forest. But would she prove to be yet another beguiling seductress?

Tobin Scott has not been back to Hadley Green since Lily Boudine’s childhood testimony helped send his father to the gallows for stealing the valuable Ashwood jewels. Now a wealthy man, he intends to exact his revenge by destroying Ashwood and its lady. He offers Lily a choice between her life and the livelihoods of the people who depend on the estate. She chooses the former, certain she can hold his dangerous plans at bay. Lily and Tobin’s game of one-upmanship quickly becomes a delicate dance of seduction, and she realizes he is not the cold, heartless man he tries to seem.

One of those books that makes you even want to have laundry to do just to give you an excuse to listen while you work. Justine Eyre is a great narrator and, again, makes you think you are listening to a full cast performance. Lily and Eberlin made me fall in love with their love.
