Ariel

This book was amazing. I listened to it while I was at work, and I actually found myself dreading breaks and lunch, and even going home simply for the excuse of listening to this book. I try to listen to books only while I'm at work so I have something to keep me sane, but I found it very hard to not just bring out my Zune at home and start listening to it once I walked in the door. I didn't regret getting this book even for a second.

No. While I did enjoy the first book to some extent, and the first part of this one, the ending was hard to get through. It seemed almost as if Karen Miller was just trying to end it, and just seemed to kill off almost all of the characters that I liked. There were a few things that left me wondering, but not enough to see if maybe those questions will be answered in another book. It seemed as if the last fifty pages or so just seemed to be a way to just get the book over with already, and I found it a great strain to force myself to listen to the last bit of the book.

Nothing else by this author. After this book I was extremely put off on reading the rest of her books.

None. I will say that Dathne was my most hated character of the book. In my opinion, she is too foolish, and I think she gets in the way of Gar and Asher's relationship. She doesn't seem to make any good decisions, and is extremely insolent. She's way too childish in my opinion.

Not to buy anymore books by this author.

I would listen to anything else the narrator did. He's the only part of this book that I really enjoyed.

I've always been a fan of Nora Roberts' more thriller/mystery based novels. So when I came across this one and realized that I hadn't heard it yet, I instantly bought it. While the narration was vaguely annoying at times, (The accents bothered me some) the book itself was outstanding. As I was listening, I was sitting on the edge of my seat, racking my brain to figure out who the killer was. Most times with some of Nora's books, it's obvious as to who the murderer will be before you even get to the end. This one, though, I never saw it coming.

I was blindsided when I heard who the murderer was. The character was one of my favorites, and when I heard just who it was, I was mind blown. It was the last thing I had suspected, and I must give a round of applause to Mrs. Roberts for her outstanding plot twist. This book was greatly worth the money and time spent listening, and I've already suggested it to many people. This is a great buy.

This book was simply amazing and a very stunning conclusion to a series that I found myself addicted to since the first book. I find myself rather melancholy at knowing that this is the last book in the series, but I was pleased with the way it ended.

Many questions had been raised throughout the series, and all of them were answered in this last book. I was not disappointed in the way this book ended at all. I could see myself listening to this series again.

One of my favorite things about this book though was the character development. Throughout the other books, I had always wondered just what would become of some characters. I was shocked several times by the way some characters developed, though it was never a bad shock. All in all, this book was very much worth the money I spent, and the time I took to listen to it. I had a very hard time putting this one down. I was entirely riveted.

This was a great book, but it wasn't about Rialla. Rialla wasn't even in this book. I was greatly disappointed when I first started this book, expecting Rialla. Only to be surprised, when it started talking about a thief named Sham. The book is still great, but because of the description I was extremely disappointed.

This story was overly depressing, and used the Time Travel far too much. Honestly, this book was needlessly depressing, and I don't know that I'm looking forward to the next book. I gave it a three out of five, mostly from sentimentality, but really the story probably deserves a one. The performance, though, if there was a way to give a negative amount of stars I would do it. Emily Durante is the worst narrator I've ever heard, and I've had an account for three years now. If she narrates the next book, I might just skip it despite the fact that Anne McCaffrey was my favorite author when I was younger. I wish Todd would have been more like his mother in his writings... But I suppose that was too much to hope for.

As everyone else has said, you get used to having the same narrator for the past several books, but then this one... I had to force myself to listen to this, and unlike the other Kim Harrison books I've never listened to this one again. I've listened to the others several times, as I greatly love the series, but Gigi Bermingham completely ruined this book for me. I was extremely disappointed.

I greatly enjoyed this book, and can't wait for the sequel, but I had a problem with the narrator. She would mess up on people's voices, and confuse me as to who was speaking at times. Not to mention her extreme lack of emotion while she was reading. A few times, it seemed as if she'd put some emotion into the characters voices, but then she'd end in an almost dead-panned voice that made it sound rather flat and dull, and extremely annoying. If it wasn't for the narrator, I would have given it five stars.

I greatly enjoyed this book. I was a little iffy about the narrator, as I'd gotten used to the one in the Enduring Flame series, but despite some of the different pronunciations, I liked her as well for the narrator. The story line was intriguing, and I'm more than ready for the next book. I want to hear more about Idalia and Jermayan, and more about Kellen and his newly found powers.

The book itself is good, just as I expected from Kelley Armstrong. However, the narrator was just awful. In my opinion, she made Karl sound like some old pervert, Hope sound like an annoying teenage valley girl, and Robyn sounds pretty close to Hope, giving me problems telling them apart at times. I did enjoy the book, but I was very tempted to stop listening and deleting it from my Zune simply because of the choice of narrator.
