Would you listen to Slade again? Why?

Absolutely. Love the series. Nothing like well built, good looking, protective, alpha males to make you tingle. This is also a very well written series in that all the main characters are woven into each book so you don't loose track of what's happening.

What did you like best about this story?

Slade's tenacity. The entire storyline is good.

What does Tavia Gilbert bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think she was perfect for this series. I typically like a good male narrator, but Ms. Gilbert always does a great job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes

    Any additional comments?

Would like to see more of this series.

I waited so very long for this book and had absolutely no doubt that Kresley Cole, one of my all time favorite authors, would hit it out of the park again. Her three books of the Professional, The Game Maker, Book 1 was one of only three books in the hundred of books I have listened to that I gave 5 stars to…this one just didn't do it for me except the last hour and a half of over 11 hours. I love to listen to stories about hunky alpha males, strong independent females, sexual chemistry and play, but over 10 hours of nothing much more than that was a bit much, even for me. The story just didn't have the substance that Book 1 had and I couldn't get enough of it. Maxim in no way compared to Alex in the charisma or hard-ass department. I would much rather have had the last 2 hours interspersed throughout the sex scenes. More drama, trauma, suspense could have upped my rating. I suppose the next book will be Dimitri's story; come on KC, please give us more to sink our teeth into.

I can say that this will not stop me from listening to Book 3 or any of KC's other books, but I am sorely disappointed.

What would you give up for everything? Tristan Stone was powerful, commanding, and sex incarnate. And he wore it all so well. From the moment his mesmerizing gaze met mine, I had no choice but surrender to everything he was. His power. His decadence. His passion. He was all I never knew I needed. He wanted to possess me, and I wanted to be his everything. All I had to do was accept what he offered. But everything has a price.

I have listened to other audio books (Sons of Navarus) by Ms. Scott and she is one of my favorite authors. Her ability to bring "realism" into the plot and keep the focus on the main characters is great. She doesn't do all of her character building of the H & H in the beginning of the book but sprinkles it throughout the story to keep listeners, at least this one, intrigued and wanting to find out more.

Not only is she a very talented author but V. Meunch & C. Fox's performances were amazing. I loved that Ms. Meunch performed the female voices and Mr. Fox performed the male voices and there was no female trying to do male voices and vice versa. It sounded more real and believable. I wish that all audio narrators/performers would do the same.

This book 1 made me want to move on to the next, book 2 and I'm glad I downloaded all three books so that I could listen to them simultaneously.

Keep up the good work; can't wait for what's coming next.

My cock has an appetite. A huge and very particular appetite: blond, curvy, and preferably not a fucking liar... (Although that's a story for another day.) As a high-profile lawyer, I don't have time to waste on relationships, so I fulfill my needs by anonymously chatting and sleeping with women I meet online. My rules are simple: one dinner. One night. No repeats. This is only casual sex. Nothing more. Nothing less. At least it was until Alyssa...

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES. This was a well written, captivating, intriguing and SEXY story. I would not only recommend this book to a friend but to anyone who loves sexy alpha males and strong, stand-your-ground women. The entire story held me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that Aubrey was strong, stood her ground most of the time, quit playing games with Andrew but also was understanding and tender.

Which character – as performed by Sebastian York and Erin Mallon – was your favorite?

Well, of course, Andrew and Aubrey. I believe this is my first listen with Erin Mallon but Sebastian York never disappoints.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Most of the book was moving. There was very little in the book that didn't move me in one way or another.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes. However, even though I enjoyed the "story" and it made me want to go on to listen to Book 2 & 3, there was something missing. I'm not sure if it was the narration that was lacking or the storyline itself. It just didn't grab my heartstrings even during the times of angst, drama, romance and intimate exchanges. Hmmmmm…. not sure what it was.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting to me was how Sarah drew Jonas into her "web" of friendship and then more by her strength, her intrigue, etc. Not sure there was a least interesting aspect of this book.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Lauren Rowe and John Lane ?

I think they both did a good job. I had some problems as the book continued with Sarah's sometimes childish voice and childish dialogue.

Do you think The Club needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, and it has 2; the book ended with a "cliffhanger" of sorts so it had to continue on...

    Any additional comments?

Again, there was something missing for me and as I write this review I believe it, in part, had to do with Sarah's dialogue…really childish at times and not at all like one would think a 24 year old law student would speak, even in her own head.

The narration was pretty good, especially EL's, but DL's wasn't bad. The story was pretty good. I have been waiting for Zach's story and wished there would have been more to it.. I fell in love with Seth more than anyone else in this book, KP really portrayed his "getting better & settling in to the family" so well. The story, for me had no flaws with the exception that it was too short and even though past characters/brothers/sisters/friends, etc were brought into this book I think it could have been more detailed; maybe the next one, except I think we've run out of characters to highlight in another book.

I really liked the book, however, it was difficult to love it. In my opinion it could have been more detailed especially for being the first book in what appears to be a long series given the amount of sub-main characters involved, even if it had to be quite a bit longer than is comfortable for most listeners.

I thought the voices for the men were excellent, especially Gabriel's voice and the variety of accents; however, Eva's voice was less than stellar and Nico's voice while much better than Eva's was still lacking. (Practice makes perfect I guess).

I thought the ending was great and I liked that it was not a cliffhanger but did leave the door open for other characters' stories, i.e. Vincent.

Maya Banks' older audio books were what drew me to, kept me coming back and keeping my Audible membership. If I were starting now with the newer ones offered by Audible, and didn't know about other great authors, they just wouldn't do it for me.

MA's older books are like a drug; I keep buying the audios when they are offered in the hopes that I'll get the same "high" as I did the first books/series I listened to of hers and again like a drug, I never get what I got the first time around.

I liked this book, I like this series, MA will always be an author I will try and whose website I will look at to see what's coming up. That said they just aren't as dynamic, exciting, suspenseful, and sexy/erotic as they once were. I'm disappointed.

I really like Kristen Ashley's books, some more than others, but never really disappointed. This one was not disappointing but a little BLAH for me. I've got to say that my review is in no way a good example of positive or negative reviews; I like drama, suspense, and even a little spooky with my romance. I also like a little more explicit sex. Don't get me wrong both the H and H were good characters, but for as long as KA's books typically are, this one was not worth reliving.

It really is too bad also that the narrator for this book was not as good as some of the ones in the past; although I think, with the exception of the Colorado Mountain series, the narrators paired with KA's books have been sorely lacking. I did finally get used to Ms. McCarthy's narration as it wasn't terrible, but could really have been much better.

Dee has always been good at wearing masks. Not letting anyone see the real her. She's content being the happy-go-lucky best friend. The strong willed boss. The independent woman who doesn't need a man. She's terrified that all it will take is one person to make all her carefully constructed walls crumble into fine dust. Where does Beck rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In this series, Beck is right along side the other two, Axel & Cage. This story was much different than the other two but equally as great.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Beck. It was astonishing how he just kept hanging in with Dee; how he knew who she was and could see through her "happy-go-lucky, over-the-top glee" to her pain and had the patience and tenacity to not only wait her out, but gently and sometimes not so gently push her beyond her masks.

What about Abby Craden and Sean Crisden ’s performance did you like?

All of it throughout the series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Yes, but not possible.

    Any additional comments?

Not sure why we (meaning those of us who got caught up in this series) had to loose one of our own (no spoilers) but I guess if the rest of the books get published in audio, which I'm praying for, we'll find out.

If you could sum up Cage in three words, what would they be?

    Crazy, alpha, sexy.

What did you like best about this story?

The entire story/series was amazing. Cage & Melissa were perfect and again, who doesn't like suspense, drama, brooding alpha males who fall in love and, oh yeah, let us not forget, in this story, the piercings that brought us to ecstasy along with Melissa.

Have you listened to any of Abby Craden and Sean Crisden ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    Yes, in this series.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Not sure.

    Any additional comments?

This series is over-the-top sexy. I would recommend this story along with the other two books to anyone interested in this genre. I greatly appreciate the honest and extensive reviews that were given by those who listened to it before me otherwise I might have missed out. Thanks ladies.
