"Very interesting; couldn't stop listening"
It pulled me in immediately with descriptive writing and effective narration that allowed me to see and feel the story unfolding. It left me with a very vivid picture and a desire to hear more about Tess and the other characters which are likely to appear in subsequent books. I'm not sure why I initially chose this, but my next picks will be others in this series.
"Kept me following until. . ."
I would listen to Pinned again, the story brought me back to high school so many years ago and yet seemed so relevant to what I imagine kids experience today. The end was a let down - spoiler alert - it leaves you hanging. That was quite a disappointment as I was really interested into learning how things turned out for these characters, if it hadn't been so well written up to that point I probably wouldn't have cared.
"Couldn't Stop Listening"
I purchased this book by mistake having confused it with A Bright Shining Lie. Initially I was disappointed as this really isn't the kind of book in which I'd normally be interested, but there I was on a long trip with this book in my iPod so I started listening. Before I knew it I couldn't tear myself away. I quickly became wrapped up in the lives of each of the different characters and almost two years later something will remind of the book and the memory of it is still vivid - which as forgetfully as I am - is truly amazing.
