Sean and Darby love food, but is their relationship a recipe for disaster, or a chance to make kitchen magic? Sean Callahan was a hotshot chef whose high-handed ways got him into trouble one too many times. Now he's in a small town hoping for another shot at the big leagues. Darby Reese is a burned out lawyer. When the chance comes to run her family's deli in the small town of Queensbay, Darby's happy to take it. Will the two of them be able to find the recipe for happily ever after?

    Story

Dinner for Two is the sweet story between Darby, a lawyer back home to run the family deli, and Sean, a big name chef who after getting into trouble at his restaurant in the big city comes to a small town to reinvent himself and start on a new path.

This is your typical bad boy meets good girl story. In this case, Darby is going behind her father's back to make improvements in the family business and Sean is trying to get back on track and go back to being the good chef that he is. What first starts as a summer fling soon becomes more serious. Can Darby and Sean make this work? Will Sean stay in small Queensbay after getting some positive restaurant reviews?

Ms. Williams does a wonderful job narrating this book. Romance is her forte. She is able to give each character their own voice and her pacing allows the book to flow. I look forward to listening to more of her work.

I would recommend this book to my friends who enjoy a sweet romance. There are a few steamy scenes in this book so I would say it is for readers 17+

At the ripe age of 73, Imogene Deal McGregor has a penchant for following her own instincts, as well as more grit and spunk than her hypochondriac son, Billy McGregor, and Billy's impulsive partner Jackson can handle. The boys take Imogene to New Orleans with their devilishly handsome English bulldog Goose, hoping to visit friends and attend a second line parade, but moments after arriving in the French Quarter, they find their friend Glenway Gilbert murdered in his art gallery.

Imogene, her son Billy and his partner Jackson are on an adventure to New Orleans to visit some friends. When they get there though their vacation is turned on its end with the death of a friend of theirs. A crooked cop and more suspects then they can count, Jackson and Billy are on the hunt for the killer. Imogene has her own way of finding clues and before long the mystery is solved.

This is a nice cozy mystery with little violence and no sex. I recommend this book for those ages 15+. This is a book where the fact that many of the main characters are gay doesn't matter one bit. Its a mystery first with gay characters being secondary.

Lee Ann Howlett is a marvelous narrator and she makes this book even more of a pleasure. I have always enjoyed her work.

I'm Cisco Suarez: necromancer, shadow charmer, black magic outlaw. Sounds kinda cool, doesn't it? It was, right until I woke up half dead in a dumpster. Did I say half dead? Because I meant 100% dead. Full on. I don't do things halfway. So here I am, alive for some reason, just another sunny day in Miami. It's a perfect paradise, except I'm into something bad. Wanted by police, drenched in the stink of dark magic, nether creatures coming out of the woodwork, and don't get me started on the Haitian voodoo gang.

Cisco Suarez is a recently back from the dead ... or is he. As one who dabbles in dark magic, Suarez doesn't have any idea where he has been for the past 10 years. Over the course of the story, he finds what has happened, who is to blame and comes up with a plan for the future. I can't wait to see what happens next for him.

I recommend this book for those who enjoy a darker kind of mystery. There is some magic and voodoo in this book so this may not be for everyone. Neil Hellegers is a great narrator who brings out all the emotions necessary to tell this story!

This is another great story in the Bubba mystery series and Michael Gilboe is delightful as Bubba and the other cast of characters in this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great southern cozy mystery.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would flesh out the background of the community more. How did this group come about and do people move into the group easily?

What was most disappointing about Rayanna Jamison’s story?

As mentioned above, fleshing out the characters and background of the town, it would help to explain the belief system of the people living there.

Which character – as performed by Rita Rush – was your favorite?

I did enjoy Molly and Beth Anne a bit. Ms. Rush was able to make them each their own people.

Was Bride Two Soon: Can Best Friends Become Sister Wives? worth the listening time?

I did like what I heard but I was looking for more ....

Bubba Snoddy is a good old country boy with a big problem. Although he's personable, handsome, and lives in a historical Southern mansion in a small Texas town, he has just discovered the dead body of a woman to whom he was once engaged to marry. His ex-fiancée was responsible for Bubba being thrown out of the military, which in turn caused his shameful return to the tiny town of Pegramville, where everyone is a consummate gossip, and no one has any secrets.

Where does Bubba and the Dead Woman rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really enjoyed listening to this book. Buddy is quite the character. He is thoughtful and caring but a the same time not one to be run over. I liked him a lot!

What did you like best about this story?

I liked that the main characters were not the stereotypical 'southern hick' kind of people. They are smart and educated people who are 'normal' in their own way.

Which character – as performed by Michael Gilboe – was your favorite?

It's a toss up between Bubba and his mother Miz Demetrice. He is down to earth and she is out there at times. Between the illegal poker ring she runs and the every changing way she claims to have 'killed' her husband (he died of a heart attack}, you don't know what she is going to say next

    Any additional comments?

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a cozy southern mystery that is light on the romance but heavy on the humor and laughter.

If you could sum up Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary in three words, what would they be?

    Sexy, thrilling and unique

What does Gomez Pugh bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mr. Pugh is a fantastic narrator. The grit that he brings to Wild Bill compared to the innocence that is portrayed when he is Michael is vast. He has all the angles covered. I can't wait to listen to more of Mr. Pugh's work.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

As others have said, when Michael and Wild Bill are by the grave markers and Wild Bill is telling of his past life.

    Any additional comments?

Channeling Morpheus for Scary Mary is a different kind of vampire book. Yes, there are other M/M vampire series out there but this one has a way of drawing you in. I liked how the characters were introduced and how they were able to meet again. I would, however, like more explanation about what the title of the story means. I just can't connect it with the book. Unless there are other stories out there that I haven't read yet. I look for forward to listening to more of Mr. Price's work.

Due to the adult nature of this book, I recommend it to those 18+ years and older.

Would you listen to See Bride Run! again? Why?

Yes, I would. I liked the story line and the fact that Annie was standing up for herself. She makes a good female lead.

What about Elizabeth Klett’s performance did you like?

Ms. Klett was able to give each character their own voice. She gave Annie a backbone, Sam his charm and Lillian her caring spirit. I've enjoyed Ms. Klett's work in the past and I look forward to listening to more of her books.

If you could rename See Bride Run!, what would you call it?

I would call it "Living Her Own Life" (subtitle How Annie stood on her own two feet!)

    Any additional comments?

While this may start out like many a chic-lit book, Annie shows the spunk she needs to lead her own life and get away from her father. I recommend this book to my friends who enjoy a sweet but thoughtful romance. Annie and Sam are quite the couple!

If you could sum up Salted in three words, what would they be?

    Hilarious, fun and suspenseful

What was one of the most memorable moments of Salted?

When Lacey and Anthony were on the roof after the party. I was nice to get some background on how Lacey and Meg became friends. It was deeper than I thought it would be.

What does Caitlin Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Ms. Kelly knocks this one out of the park again. To me she is Lacey. You can hear the sugar buzz in her voice. Ms. Kelly also gives all of the other characters the emotion and voice needed to make this a great listen. I can't wait for the next book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

At a little over 7 hours, I would be hard pressed to do it in one sitting but I would say it would make a great weekend listen or if you were on a road trip. Lacey will keep you entertained.
