"Couldn't finish it."
Take the sex scenes out and this book would fit perfectly with the young adult audience. Nothing wrong with YA genre - some great titles in that genre - but in this book, I found the attempt at light hearted humor and raunchy sex too incongruous. Also, no tension between the main characters. As with most novels that bore me, I ended up not caring about the characters. So, I turned it off. Hope this helps...
"Great frist book."
I enjoyed this book. It was a little different from what you usually find in this genre, but kept to much of the basic formula as well. Great first book. The other books in the series were not quite as good, but still entertaining.
"Entertaining -- except one disturbing thing"
This is the first time I've read this author and I'm not a big fan of this genre, but thought I would try something new. The wit and dialog of the characters is engaging and fun and the pace of the book is quick. The narrator does a great job. There was only one disturbing thing about the book that still bothers me in reflection. At one point in the book, the main characters sit about kissing each other while her supposed friend is down the hall being tortured to death. That's callous and just about ruined the book for me. What "friend" would do something like that?!
