I already have started. It is full of useful information explained in an interesting way. It is an awesome supplement to his show and stands on its own just fine too.
Don't be hesitant to purchase just because it was written before the big crash in 2008 - even though any specific references to companies at the time may be out of date, (a fact he even addresses in the book itself) the fundamentals are all still very applicable.
I plan to purchase more of his books.
There is a market for everything.
Seriously, the guy is talking to you like he is some zen master and those asking him the questions being played by other people are clearly asking scripted questions, it is just annoying to me to listen to. Might be fine for other people, I don't know.
I would probably just read this one in book form, unless you want to feel you are being preached to by someone all knowing. I got it because it was recommended to me in that form, and I thought I'd give audio a try.
I would, it gives you so much of a broader perspective of what was happening during all those years when, in all honesty, the only side I heard was that of the media. While you have to take the presidents words with a grain of salt at times (he is after all one of the smoothest characters in recent history) it is so refreshing to hear this whole thing from his side.
It left me with a real understanding of why he might have been more successful that in a lot of areas than other presidents, because you get to understand the real man - even through his style of writing, his real personality shines through.
Listening to Whitewater (something I was too young to really understand at the time) unfold from his point of view.
His voice will have you believing that he is Bill Clinton after an hour or so.
As far as fiction is concerned it felt more like listening to a play than a book, in that the characters were very clearly defined by the different speakers. That is something I have not yet seen in an audiobook but am now looking for more of.
The story is better than a lot of fiction I've read (admittedly I have not read much) but it wasn't anything ground breaking or earth shattering either. It kept me engaged.
