I understand trilogies. I understand sequels. I even understand prequels. I do not understand serials. I thought more of Jeffrey Archer before this abomination. The series of what I assume will be three books should have been one book. I held my tongue on the first one but I can't after listening to Book 2. Shame, shame!
I will have to to find out what happened to the characters in this most unsatisfying listening experience.
The only thing that would have made this diatribe better would have been if it had not be written or read.
All three, anger, sadness, disappointment. What it sparked most was incredulity that someone would have written this, that someone would have published it, that it was produced on audio, and that I would have listened to it.
I will never write a review without reading the book completely. I so badly wanted to write this review that I forced my self (painfully) to finish. I wish I had the time back and that I do not have my rule about completion before review. The story is sappy and tedious.
This was a complete waste of time. Move on! Audible has much better selections. And they rarely make you angry at yourself for listening.
