"A Grown-Up Kind of Romance Novel"
This is not your average coming of age story. It is a well crafted story that keeps you guessing until the end. It is an entertaining, easy read.
I was fond of the three generations of women that were the main characters of the story: Grandma, Mother and Daughter.
This was my first Joshilyn Jackson book. I look forward to reading more from her.
I couldn't think of a better title that tells all and tells nothing.
"I'm a raving fan now"
Ender's game grabs you at the beginning and holds you right to the end and leaves you wanting more.
I loved the fast pace of the story, the interaction of the characters and the battle of wits.
They brought the book to life.
The Ender and his group became as familiar to me as old friends.
I came to Ender's Game through another book by Orson Scott Card called The Gate. I enjoyed the writing style and the imagination of this author and looked for more works by him. Now, I have read several works by him and enjoyed all of them tremendously.
"Unexpectedly captivating"
I would definitely recommend this book.
Seabiscuit was my favorite. The horse had the qualities I most admire...courage, heart, and tenacity.
The scene that revealed that Seabiscuit was more than horseflesh and the winning spirit had to be nurtured not demanded.
Although the end was no secret, the tale of Seabiscuit was more than a story of an unlikely horse winning a big race. It was the story you never hear about. The sabotage, the ruthlessness, the passion, and the politics in the horse racing world.
"Totally brilliant and thoroughly enjoyable"
The richness of Woody's descriptions.
None that I can think of.
The search for God.
I laughed a lot as I read it.
