Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Would recommend, especially to ex-military. The military attitudes remind me of old times.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Favorite character was Kris Longknife- never gave up even when it seemed hopeless.

Which character – as performed by Dina Pearlman – was your favorite?

Kris Longknife because of the personality that comes through the telling of the story.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Sure, it looks hopeless now... but wait

    Any additional comments?

Could have done without the excessive lovey dovey stuff between Jack and Kris, other than that...outstanding.

Jace's return to Kansas is an instant reminder that there really is no place like home. The tavern is still brimming with losers, practical jokers, and motorcycle chicks. Even the town's only Goth is still wearing eyeliner. But just as Jace is about to click her heels and hightail out of there, she's roped into a brand-new case. Somebody is possessed. And the bodies are piling up....

I read the reviews, so I was prepared. How could I pass up the last book whose dialogue/banter/cadence reminded me of The Thin Man and His Girl Friday movies. He brings back almost all the previous characters and then fades to black. How can you not love the way it ended? Outstanding narrator, gonna miss the series, but what a way to go! Well Done!

Rachel Morgan has fought and hunted vampires, werewolves, banshees, demons, and other supernatural dangers as both witch and bounty hunter—and lived to tell the tale. But she’s never faced off against her own kind, until now. Denounced and shunned for dealing with demons and black magic, her best hope is life imprisonment-at worst, a forced lobotomy and genetic slavery.

I thought it was me. I too am/was a big fan. This book made me angry from chapter 5. The whining was beyond belief. Sadly the narrators voice just made it worse. At a point I was actually rooting for the villain. Disappointed
