The beautiful performance!
This is the way to really enjoy Faust! Beautifully performed, with a full tapestry of voices and sounds. Well done!
No. It is just the version that I had time to "read".
This is a really well written and compelling story about one of the most important, but under-appreciated issues of our time. By setting the whole story against the back drop of the Damascus Accident, Schlosser turns the story of command and control of nuclear weapons into a real page turner! I've spent most of my life involved in one way or another with these issues, and I believe that Schlosser nails it, and points to the flaws that persist to this day, and threaten our very existence. Highly recommended.
This is a very good book, and is read brilliantly by Ms Lecat. I was hoping for a book as good as Katherine, and this one didn't quite make that mark, primarily because Ms Weir spent a bit too much time on some of the more mundane descriptions than I felt was warranted. Nonetheless, she certainly wrote a compelling book that provides ample argument for revisiting the harsh historical judgment so often associated with Isabella. Enjoy diving into this stormy period of English history!
It's such a wonderful insight into the people, the times, the motivations underlying the French Revolution.
The bitter-sweet ending...
Just another fabulous, can't recommend it enough offering from Dickens on Audible.
Forget everything you thought you knew about Genghis Khan and the Mongols. This book, based on the amazing opening up of Mongolia post USSR is a real eye-opener. I think everyone who loves books, history and emerging information will love this book.
Yes! This is a powerful book that will stir, disturb and ultimately reset your perspective on humanity
The deep compassion for the flawed, but lovable humans that represent us all.
Compassionate, smoothly delivered, well timed
Beautiful, encouraging, enthralling
War and Peace -- such tremendous characters, facing such human issues...
This is a book for every lover of literature. One of my favorite books, ever!
There's so much in this book that helps understand the arc of US history! I was quite impressed with the excellent writing and solid performance of this book. Highly recommended!
This is a tremendously well presented argument for a truly fundamental reset in American Policy. As a retired USAF officer who spent a tour in Turkey, and worked with Iranians before the Ayatollah, I absolutely agree with recommendations. American's have so very much more in common with the Persians and the Turks -- so much more to gain, so much more moral standing to be had -- with this "Reset." I hope the senior policy thinkers, movers and shakers all read this book, and go get to know the Turks and Persians. The world will be a better place for it.
The reminder that 15 or 19 9/11 hijackers were Saudis...
Elijah does a great job with the variety of dialects that Mark Twain represents in Huck Finn. His lively, articulate narrative is a delight!
What a rollicking adventure, with a wonderful moral theme.
They're all great, but the moment when Jim tells the story of striking his daughter is heart-wrenching. So, Jim it is!
Above, plus the delights of the observations of the futility, but rich fun of it all at the end.
Great book - fun to revisit as a mature adult...
