After being murdered by a mystery assailant, navigating his way through the realm between life and death, and being brought back to the mortal world, Harry realizes that maybe death wasn’t all that bad - because he is no longer Harry Dresden, Chicago’s only professional wizard. He is now Harry Dresden, Winter Knight to Mab, the Queen of Air and Darkness. After Harry had no choice but to swear his fealty, Mab wasn’t about to let something as petty as death steal away the prize she had sought for so long.

I am so glad to have Mr. Marsters back! I really don't like to put in spoilers in my reviews so I am going to tread carefully. It is wonderfully action packed and full of Dersden one-liners. It seems like it might be moving away from the white council but waiting for the next book is going to be agony!

This is an exclusive, original adventure for the 10th Doctor, read by David Tennant. Featuring additional music and effects, Doctor Who: Dead Air has never been previously published. Hot on the heels of a creature that exists through sound, the Doctor lands on a pirate radio station boat in the late 1960s. The creature has already killed some of the DJs, and the Doctor befriends the survivors. But then the lights go out, and a desperate race for survival begins.

While I have not listened to many of these I thought it was a good solid story. Of course David Tennant does a perfect job. It makes me want to find out more about the 60's and England. Honestly, I would buy more of these but they are a bit pricey for the length. If you are a Dr. Who fan get it while it is on sale.

STOP. You should not have touched this flyer with your bare hands. NO, don't put it down. It's too late. They're watching you. My name is David Wong. My best friend is John. Those names are fake. You might want to change yours. You may not want to know about the things you'll read on these pages, about the sauce, about Korrok, about the invasion, and the future. But it's too late. You touched the book. You're in the game. You're under the eye. The only defense is knowledge. You need to read this book, to the end. Even the part with the bratwurst. Why?

I have listened to this book a dozen times since I got it and will a dozen more. Honestly the story is out there in the dark immature places of slightly off minds. It is a little gross and raunchy. Beyond all that the story is well written and is a guilty pleasure.

I can't believe I have to say this but I didn't care for the book at all. It's like that one place where you live that everybody has been happy with for that last 20 years and then something changes and it is just operating on it's previous reputation. That is how I feel about this book. I really feel like the main character needs a slap. DO believe the other reviews that say it's repetative and add monotonous.

The Barrani would be happy to see her die. So Kaylin Neya is a bit surprised by her safe arrival in the West March. Especially when enemies new and old surround her and those she would call friends are equally dangerous... And then the real trouble starts. Kaylin's assignment is to be a "harmoniste" - one who helps tell the truth behind a Barrani Recitation. But in a land where words are more effective than weapons, Kaylin's duties are deadly.

I have listened to all this series and find it very interesting. If you have never listened to any of these books it is a good idea to listen to Cast in Peril first. I like the lengths of the stories (although it wouldn't hurt my feelings if they were longer). The characters are colorful. Ms. Sagara has created a wonderful world. The narrator does an excellent job. This book picks up where the last one stops with alittle less action. The focus is saving Teala and the Green in the West March. There is a bunch of information about Barrani in this story including the "lost children", Teala and Nightshade. I only have one complaint I wish Kailyn would learn to make peace with her past more but I understand that she is young and seems to be trying to.

For a 2,000-year-old Druid, Atticus O’Sullivan is a pretty fast runner. Good thing, because he’s being chased by not one but two goddesses of the hunt - Artemis and Diana - for messing with one of their own. Dodging their slings and arrows, Atticus, Granuaile, and his wolfhound Oberon are making a mad dash across modern-day Europe to seek help from a friend of the Tuatha Dé Danann. His usual magical option of shifting planes is blocked, so instead of playing hide-and-seek, the game plan is...run like hell.

Charley Davidson isn’t your everyday, run-of-the-mill grim reaper. She’s more of a paranormal private eye/grim reaper extraordinaire. However, she gets sidetracked when the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, moves in next door. To further complicate matters, Reyes is her main suspect in an arson case. Charley has vowed to stay away from him until she can find out the truth... but then dead women start appearing in her apartment, one after another, each lost, confused, and terrified beyond reason.

I'm at a lost. I thought the last line of the 4th book was the best ever but Ms. Jones may have topped herself. This series is exceptional. Each one is more entertaining than the last. This one is impassioned from the start. Mystery, action and paranormal all wrapped up with appealing characters.

Victorian romance mixes seamlessly with elegant prose and biting wit—and werewolves—in Gail Carriger’s delightful debut novel. Soulless introduces Alexia Tarabotti, a parasol-wielding Londoner getting dangerously close to spinster status. But there are more important things than finding a husband. For Alexia was born without a soul, giving her the ability to render any vampire or werewolf completely powerless.

They call me the Spider. I'm the most feared assassin in the South -- when I'm not busy at the Pork Pit cooking up the best barbecue in Ashland. As a Stone elemental, I can hear everything from the whispers of the gravel beneath my feet to the vibrations of the soaring Appalachian Mountains above me. My Ice magic also comes in handy for making the occasional knife. But I don't use my powers on the job unless I absolutely have to. Call it professional pride.

The first book is actually ok. I have a hard time telling people this awful. For one thing it wasn't and everyone has different tastes. I have a problem with the way Gin ( the main character) whines through half of the books about a guy. A guy that she wasn't in a real relationship with just sex. The story line is interesting and the characters help carry the story along.

Night Watch is a world as elaborate and imaginative as Tolkien or the best Asimov. Living among us are the "Others", an ancient race of humans with supernatural powers who swear allegiance to either the Dark or the Light. A thousand-year treaty has maintained the balance of power, but an ancient prophecy decrees that one supreme "Other" will rise up and tip the balance. When a young boy with extraordinary powers emerges, will the forces of the Light be able to keep the Dark from corrupting the boy and destroying the world?

I actually read these books about 6 years ago. But I wanted to listen to them. This series is somewhere between sci-fi and paranormal. The setting is in Russia and that makes the whole book more interesting to me. There is one major plot that runs through all the books with 3 sub-plots. There is minor romance and tons of drinking. Many many interesting characters that make the story colorful.

I almost did not purchase this book because so many people did not like it. I decided i might as well see the series to its conculsion. I would like to say that if you remove Sookie's love life from the story that it's almost as good as most of the earlier books. I think if you listened to or read the others don't skip it.
