"So glad I finally did this title!"
A classic of American literature that I was supposed to read in 9th grade, I found this to be one of the best stories I've listened to in a long time. Had more meaning now than it would have had at age 14 anyway.
Initially I didn't think I would like it specifically because of Gary Sinise, but he did an incredible job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to others.
No extreme reactions, but it certainly touched places in me that haven't had light on them in awhile
"Paradigm shift required"
Yes, most definitely. While reading the other reviews, there was decidedly negative sense as to the author performing the read. While his voice is a little difficult to become accustomed to, the material is so valuable and the lessons it teaches easily allows one to rise above and appreciate what others seem to have missed.
Learning about the global calibration and the general rise in planetary consciousness.
Not too many actual characters
Not yet finished, so I'm digging it all thus far.
"Tedious and poorly crafted metaphors"
Anyone interested in the obscure musings of a late adolescent mind.
Not without a strong recommendation from someone whose taste I know and trust.
Someone who knew when to interject excitement, instead of adding it randomly just to spice things up
There were very few actual 'scenes.'
"Good science; takes forever to get to it"
Unless I absolutely felt as though I could not get the needed info elsewhere, I would not repeat another of David's horribly-crafted metaphor-ridden reads.
Am listening to Wayne Dyer
Don't think so....he had trouble with some basic pronunciation.
Slight changes in what I eat and timing. Most of the science and basics I already knew.
I already know how to bash other diets and authors, should I be so callous to do so.
