A classic of American literature that I was supposed to read in 9th grade, I found this to be one of the best stories I've listened to in a long time. Had more meaning now than it would have had at age 14 anyway.

Initially I didn't think I would like it specifically because of Gary Sinise, but he did an incredible job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to others.

Yes, most definitely. While reading the other reviews, there was decidedly negative sense as to the author performing the read. While his voice is a little difficult to become accustomed to, the material is so valuable and the lessons it teaches easily allows one to rise above and appreciate what others seem to have missed.

There were very few actual 'scenes.'

Unless I absolutely felt as though I could not get the needed info elsewhere, I would not repeat another of David's horribly-crafted metaphor-ridden reads.

Don't think so....he had trouble with some basic pronunciation.

Slight changes in what I eat and timing. Most of the science and basics I already knew.

I already know how to bash other diets and authors, should I be so callous to do so.
