Haven't read anything by Tami Hoag in quite awhile and I remember now why I enjoy her books so much. This one starts out so gruesome I almost put it down, glad I didn't. Great plot along with terrific characters makes for one superb read. You won't be disappointed.
Very enjoyable read about an attorney that plays fast and loose with the rules; especially when he believes his client is innocent. Will keep you turning those pages!
Great battle scenes but thought the rest of the book was pretty boring. Failed to keep my attention and interest. The plot revolved around trying to prove the current Russian president was really a thug from the past and the narrative kept switching back 30 years and to today. Don't think I need an entire book to convince me Russian leaders could possibly be former bad guys. (think Putin)
This read like a made-for-tv movie that frankly was pretty boring. I expected more out of Baldacci
This is an excellent book with a fantastic reader and all the courtroom and personal drama you expect from Grisham. Somewhat predictable but I'm sure it will be a movie soon.
This seems to be a book written by a survivalist to be read by survivalists. It's ok, but clumsily written and the reader must have gone to the Jack Webb school of drama, monotone and dull. But it still has good character development and it's enough for me to buy the second book to see what happens.
This book is intricately woven, with twists and turns at every corner. Great courtroom drama but even more powerful as a family tragedy. Beautifully written.
This book is a light, enjoyable read with a good story line. Nothing too heavy here but I liked it!
Powerful, Suspenseful, Mysterious
This book invokes early Stephen King novels when he was at his scariest best
I've always been a fan of Will Patton from his readings of James Lee Burke books. This is as good as it gets.
I was afraid Stephen King had mellowed out in his later years after reading his last two books. He was just saving up for this one!!
I thought this was going to be your typical survivalist read. I enjoy the genre but they're tough to pull off with something different. This one started out fairly similar with most. Human kind gets wipe outed by a virus except for a few that try to somehow continue on, yada, yada.. Then deep into the first book you're thrown such a curve ball it can make you gasp! At first I thought about stopping because it was so far out of left field I didn't know what to think. I'm glad I didn't. This one is definitely fun and I look forward for the second one in the series!
Have read Tanenbaum in the past and remembered why I wasn't impressed. Fairly interesting courtroom drama but drags out and is so predictable. Law & Order reruns are more interesting.
