"While god isn't great, Hitchens certainly is"
I loved this book! How can I explain whats so great about it? Well first off, Hitchens himself reads it. And he has a superb reading voice. He sometimes mumbles a little, but it doesn't put me off in the slightest.
I guess what I like so much about the book itself is how Hitchens seem to have all the facts in place. And not only the obvious facts, but the facts behind the headlines. So many things I didn't know about political this or that. For example, I had no idea how the masacre in Rowanda got started. Lots and lots of brilliant insights and facts to learn here. Coupled with the fact that Hitchens himself has seen plenty of action. He has traveled extensively and met with lots of interesting people on both sides of the argument. And he really, REALLY, demolishes any argument you could ever erect in the name of a god.. any god! If you could memorize half of whats in this book, you'd win any argument on the subject of religion (at least in matters of whether there is a god or not) And the language is really nice as well. All in all I recommend everyone to read this book.
